We used to go to Huatulco every year for 2 weeks and absolutely loved it. We would go into town and just enjoy bars, restaurants and the locals. I also played golf, became friends with everyone there at the course. I used to play golf with the pro. The last year I was there everything changed. The bartender who was... More

Amazing golf course, I played it one, four years ago when it was priced at 100 can dollars including clubs and cart. Now it is 3 times that, they have to bring the price down. If everyone keeps complaining to the tourist authorities in mexico we can bring down the price, maybe the hotels can subsidize the golf.

We always play the course when we are in Huatulco until this year. the new course owner/operators have decided to make it an upscale course and they do not care if the average golfer uses the course. Have remodeled and improved, but of the two weeks we were we never saw a player. As a golf course developer of a... More

We sold everything in the states to move to our retirement destination in Huatulco. My husband was the only member one year, then Fonatur leased it to Mr. Pliega. It is now only used as his private golf course for his wealthy friends. My husband waited patiently for the renovation assured there would be a rate for locals. It never... More

Well, last time I was in Huatulco was in '94 and it was great to see how well the destination has developed while keeping quaint. This is the first time that we played the course and I was pretty happy with it (NOT with my score). The course is centrally located and accesible from most hotels, I was blown away... More

Yes...golfing is available in Huatulco again but... Prices are way to high! I agree, it's time to forget golfing as an activity in Huatulco.

A couple of weeks ago, a new price list was introduced for the erstwhile Campo de Golf Tangolunda, which has been re-named "Tortugas". It still is too expensive for the most golfers. Here are some of the rates: Packet of 10 rounds with cart and caddie: 27,500 pesos. Packet of 25 rounds with cart and caddie: 61,250 pesos. Single round... More

For the past eight years we have been coming to Huatulco because of the diversity of things to do. I am an avid golfer and while I golfed my wife could take her choice of the many fine beaches to go to and relax. However, prior to arriving for our visit this year we were prewarned by friends that the... More

Remained optimistic that the price would be adjusted. We have persistently called and this morning, as on each and every occasion prior, we were assured yes the course is open and NO the price has not been adjusted and NO there will be no change. Will remain at 6000 pesos. SHAME SHAME SHAME to the businessman/lessee of the course, to... More
