The tranquility and the view and its history. Huge 100' cross was built to honor the memory of two sons lost in an airplane incident and the chapel was built by the husband to honor his wife who died two years later.

The chapel is included in the Historical Acapulco Tour. It is Situated on the top of a hill where all the rich and famous live. The site is a popular site for weddings and I can definitely see why. Photography is allowed as well.

Well worth the drive up to get the amazing vista of Acapulco. Watch out if you are using the directions from Tripadvisor though - I ended up a long way away from where I wanted to be ! Google Maps is ok though.

Our wonderful tour guide Roberto Alarcon took us to the Chapel of Peace and told us a little about its history. There are absolutely gorgeous views from this historic landmark.

This is a beautiful and peaceful place to visit It is high up on the hill top of Acapulco. The Church is so pretty and if you are lucky, you might see a wedding being performed. The view of Acapulco Bay is stunning from up here!! A must see while in Acapulco.
