Only for lower class people, too many old boats block the view, poor food and vendors bothering you every 5 seconds trying to sell you something. Restaurants allow you to park your car only if you stay with them. What use to be a big parking lot now is full of dirty souvenir and poor food stores. More

If you want to go where the locals go, then this is the beach. A long bus ride, but that's OK. Harbour/boat view, calm water, shallow for kids. The usual 50 peso umbrellas. More
