This museum is a very good presentation of prehistoric life in the desert areas of northern Mexico. Until I visited this museum I was not aware of the prehistoric nature of this area. Tour information is available in English recordings and it is very easy to walk through the area.

It's a great place to visit in Saltillo Mexico, the entrance price is very accessible 90 Mexican pesos per adult. The tourist guide really knows the topics and are always able to assist you. All the rooms are so clean and have a lot of information. Since sea animals to the Big bears and dinosaurs. It has also some live... More

I have been here 6 or 7 times. Living in the area, you run out of things to do. We always enjoy it, and bring friends regularly.

I have been over 5 times and everytime it looks like is not getting proper maintenance. We see more closed areas, even some glass floor panels where you walked by are not in service. Still kids can have good time there but if nothing changes in the next couple of years, it will not be a good destination as it... More

4 Pavillions covering The Desert Past and Present, Man and the Desert, Biodiversity and a Botanical Garden this is probably the most complete museum of its kind. Designed for all age groups, it contains exhibits that I have never seen anywhere else. There are too many positives to mention, but I guarantee that you will not be disappointed; and if... More

This is a relatively young museum, it oppened its doors in 1999 and since then has been showing its visitors all the diversity of life that can be found in the dessert of Coahuila, Nuevo Leon and Chihuahua. The most amazing things to me are the dinosaur fossils they have, you can see the entire museum in less than a... More

Well explained, featuring very kind high school students as guides, with interesting exhibitions concerning natural and human history of the desert Mexican lands, and their living ways, from ancient times to the present, this museum is really a must when in Saltillo.
