Baja Pirates roots began in Alaska then moved to La Paz Mexico in 2000. The Alaskan style of service was retained. We have the largest most modern fleet of American style boats in La Paz and provide only top quality gear(Avet Reels and Ugly stick rods). Fish processing includes vacuume packing and freezing your catch for your trip home. We have added Scuba, Snorkeling, Sea Kayaking, Golf and day tours to offer something for every family member.

I am definitely going to go back and fish Mexico with the Baja Pirates. The entire trip was so easy and enjoyable as our group purchased the package that included our meals. Leonard and his crew took care of everything from breakfast thru dinner. The fishing was the best and the captains on all the boats are there to help... More

We spent our 50th anniversary with the Baja Pirates and couldn,t ask for a better time. The fishing was great. The people were so friendly and kind. Leonard took us on a tour of the town and to several wonderful restaurants. We hope to return and to spend more time fishing and visiting. We were treated like royalty.

Four of us just returned from our trip to the La Paz area with Baja Pirates. We have been to other areas of Mexico enjoying the country, people and customs of Mexico and looking for an area that we can return to more then once. I think we have found that place. Leonard is running a top outfitter service from... More

As a fishing guide in Baja, I realize how fishing conditions can fluctuate from month to month, even day to day. When Leonard invited me up to fish with his fleet, I thought we would have a couple of days on the water with a few pargo for dinner and a nice time out in La Paz. We fished two... More

Good: 1. Easy to book the trip 2. Great price for the product and service 3. Responsive and attentive service from Leonard, the hotel staff, boat captains and the Pirate staff 4. Options for fishing (top water, bait trolling, jigging, fly etc.) and non-fishing days like snorkeling and golf 5. Really decent boats considering the amount of hours they run... More

Though an avid sportsman this was my first time fishing the waters in Mexico. I can say it will not be my last. Lenard and crew provided an outstanding experience for both myself and my friend as we embarked upon the fisheries around the Bahia de La Plaz. The abundance of different types of fish from those that are great... More

Virtually every aspect of our vacation in La Paz was taken care of by Leonard and the Baja Pirates Fishing Fleet except our airline reservations which I now understand can be done also. This was much more than a "fishing trip" for my wife and me; it was a return for more or a continuation of our twenty fifth wedding... More

The hurricane last fall coincided with our fishing plans so we had to wait until late April for our third visit to LaPaz and the Baja Pirates. Brought another couple with us who had fished Baja before but had arranged their own lodging, boats and captains. They were amazed at the level of service we were given for a lower... More

I just got back from our trip with Baja Pirates (4/21-4/26). Even though the fishing seemed off with the weather I could tell they were trying the best to get us on fish. From the pick up at the airport to the daily trips to the dock and dropping us off back at the airport, the Baja Pirates operation is... More

My business partner and I had a client (buddy) that wanted to go fishing for a couple of days in Mexico. I was told the Sea of Cortez is the best option especially as it transitions to the warmer water. I looked at probably 25 charters/guides/individuals before deciding on Baja Pirates. Leonard (Owner) put up with probably 20 emails and... More
