Imagine sitting in a 23' fishing boat and having a 30+ ton whale glide up to you and stick its head out of the water for the express purpose of being petted! Or, having a young calf do the same thing! You don't have to imagine it, you can experience it thru Baja Expeditions whale watch trip to San Ignacio.... More

We went on the whale shark and sea lion snorkeling combination tour. What a thrill! The boat ride to the sea lion colony was beautiful - wind in our hair, sailing through the water, sunshine, and manta rays jumping on the way. When we got there, our guide explained in great detail and very clearly what to do. We donned... More

Baja Expeditions was first class all the way on this three hour excursion to swim with Whale Sharks. Our family of four had the boat to ourselves, which we found makes a big difference when you are only competing with three others to get a close up view of the sharks while swimming beside them instead of seven or eight... After considering an 8-day bus trip to San Ignacio, we found Baja Expeditions, and I am SO glad! We flew for 2 hours (instead of riding on a bus for 2 days) and got to stay in Campo Ramon, right on the shore of the lagoon (rather than in a hotel 1 hour away). That meant we got 2 (rather... More

A brilliant 6 days whale watching in late February 2015 booked through Wildlife Worldwide who were superb. We knew that we were not going to be in luxurious accomodation but that was fine. In fact the huts were better than i thought, beautifully positioned, comfortable beds and a sink innthe room.Electricity 24 hours and good food. The loos are a... More

We spent four days on the beach at San Ignacio Lagoon. The flight from Tijuana was flawless, the bus ride to the camp was bumpy but fun! Jose, Martin, and Gretchen/Mariana made the trips to meet the whales informative and fun. Ask them about Pink Floyd; not just a band. The food was plentiful and delicious. Read The Eye of... More

My boyfriend and I took a day trip to snorkel with whale sharks, then later did a camping trip to Espiritu Santo. We had an amazing time with Baja Expeditions. Josefat was an excellent guide, and the camping on the island was lovely. We were fed hearty meals of fresh fish, fruits, and vegetables throughout the trip, and the tent... More

My wife & I have just returned from a week's live-aboard trip on Baja Expedition's catamaran. We had always wanted to swim with whale sharks & boy we weren't disappointed. Carlos (our captain) was fantastic at handling the boat & ensuring we got some great sights of all types of marine life. We ended up swimming with whale sharks, sperm... More

I and 7 friends went to the San Ignacio Lagoon (on the Pacific Ocean side of Baja California) with Baja Expeditions in February 2014 for 4 days to experience with the gray whales that migrate here from Alaska to have their babies. Baja Expeditions was FABULOUS. Everyone was welcoming, warm and very informed. Baja Expeditions founder, Tim Means, has been... More

I went to see the whale sharks with my parents and children. This was the perfect set up. Reasonable prices, nothing fancy and most important to me-focused on the educational and conservationist aspect of Eco tourism. Our guide was Roxana who has focused her studies on the whale shark and was a treasure trove of knowledge. I would recommend this outfit... More
