We arrived in La Paz at the end of march, which is pretty late to watch and swim with the whalesharks. The trip left from the marina at Costa baja resort where we were staying. Fun Baja provided wetsuits and there were sodas & water on board. There weren't many whalesharks out there anymore, but after 2 hours we finaly... More

We shared a beach in Espirtu Santo with a Fun Baja group. They had set up a permanent outpost with shelters, chairs, tables, and a GENERATOR! Wow - talk about not being low impact. It was horrible! We moved the next day leaving the open beach for someone else's trip to be spoiled by this thoughtless company.

We had a great trip with Fun Baja and Carlos. We took the trip from LaPaz. It was a long day but well worth it. 6AM to 6:30PM, with about a 3 hour trip each way to Magadalena Bay. The trip was broken up with a stop about every hour, included breakfast and lunch. The breakfast was good, the lunch... More

We went out with this group two times. We took an excursion to balandra beach, which you can drive to, but the boat trip was so worthwhile. It included a snorkel stop, complimentary wetsuits, and an excellent guide, Sofia. She played with one of the kids on the beach while the rest o us climbed an enormous dune. She was... More

We spent the day with islandcatbaja.com. Their service and boat were awesome. 54' catamaran made the day incredibly relaxing. We got breakfast on the way out, then lunch on the way back. Had multiple encounters with Whale Sharks!! On board oceanographer was terrific. Anyone wanting to swim with the whale sharks needs to use islandcatbaja.com. We are definitely coming back.

What an awesome experience! You have got to do this if you visit during whale shark season! FunBaja picked us up our hotel and delivered us back when finished. They were very friendly and professional. There were some other companies that charged a cheaper rate on the Malecon but their boats were not as convenient to get in and out... More

We had an amazing trip out to Espiritu Santo with Fun Baja, swam with the sea lions, hung out on the beach on Isla Perdita, and had a great near shore tour of of Tecolote and Balandra on the way back. Another person on our trip was scuba diving with the guide while we were snorkeling, so we got some... More

We recently had a great day trip with Fun Baja to Isla Espirito Santo to snorkel with the sea lions and then to have lunch and a relaxing time on a nearby beach. I have limited mobility and the staff were most attentive in making sure that my needs were met and that I could enjoy my time on their... More

This is my 2nd whale shark adventure with Fun Baja and while it's tempting to go with a cheaper company- here are the reasons not to: 1. They provide wetsuits- other boater's didn't have wetsuits and looked freezing. The water and air temperature in late Dec. is chilly. You want a good wetsuit, snorkel, and fins. 2. The sharks are...
