Tecolote Beach is definitely one of the prettiest beaches around La Paz--I cannot say enough about the water, which on the day we visited was crystal clear and warm even though we didn't go for a swim because it was too chilly (which I now regret). It's a great beach for a long walk and there are plenty of places... More

Its the place to eat on the beach, a 5 minutes drive from Balandar Beach. The sea is rough here, great for a long walk along the sea edge. Can park next to the beach for a picnic. A good selection of restaurants and bars.

We ended up going to this beautiful beach 4 out of 6 days in and around La Paz. Try the bar on Tecolote Beach. Beers are cheap and the Fish Tacos were amazing.

A long stretch of sand and turquoise waters, but usually very rough. If you like beaches of the wavy-kinds, you'd like it. Lots of restaurants and tour operators on the beach, but it's easy to walk away from the madness and find solace. You can also see the Espiritu Santo Island from the beach, which was a plus.

Fantastic beach, feels like you're at the end of the word. Pretty rocks in the sand. Lots of small beach kiosks for food and drink and to rent watersports equipment.

We love to go to Tecolote. The beach is wonderful for swimming, sunning, beach combing, camping. It is a long expanse of mostly white sand beach. I have been warned by several people to lock the car and don't leave valuables in it. We felt perfectly safe out there, but have heard that robberies do happen once in a while.... More

This beach scores top on our list of beaches in mexico and we have been to quite a few. There are a lot of restaurants here as well as drinking establishments on this very long beach. Eco baja tours has frequent departures from the central bus terminal for 70$ pesos. It was overcast the day we went but it was... More

Perfect Sandy beach for she'll hunting. Restaurants have delicious food and gorgeous views that can't be beat. The restaurant itself is a true beach atmosphere.
