I had a few drinks in different places. Some better than others but worth the drive. Rented wave runner for hour and headed back towards La Paz ( the other way not much to see) there are a few bays that look like bahama s here within minutes. Watch out for burried sting rays ! shuffe your feet always when... More

Tecolote beach is located north of La Paz about 25 minutes by car and the most northerly of the beaches out side of La Paz. The day we were there the weather was very hot and the beach was bustling with activity as this is obviously a favourite place for the locals to relax. If you like snorkelling the best... More

Worthy of a Corona commercial. There are several restaurants and you can do things like rent jet-skis, but don't get the impression that this mile-plus stretch of soft white sand is ever overcrowded. Being on the Cortez side of Baja, the warm waters are safe for even the smallest children to play in.

Water as beautiful and clear as the Caribbean, but with a lot fewer tourists. Then, of course, you look up towards the land and see the dry, cactus-laden hills behind the beach and you know you're in the Baja. Playa Balandra was equally beautiful.

The Beach is marvellous! Some criticize it for being windy, yes, it is, mostly early mornings and evenings. During day-time is awesome. Plenty of activities, good sea-food. We had cocktail of shrimps and octopus, live clams, guacamole, it was a bit pricey, but taking into account the fact, that restaurant is far from civilization, the price is reasonable. Some criticize... More

Better then Balandra if you don't mind a bit of wind. Stay to the east end though, the west is busy on the weekends and full of garbage.

This beach is at the end of the road. It does not compare to Ballandra beach in terms of beauty and easy of use, but it does have restaurants, bars, etc. We left for Espiritu Santo from el Tecolote because it saves time. Worth a look!

This is a very beautiful beach, with a few restaurants and water activities available. The only negative I have is in regards to the snorkeling, which was just okay.

We tried to go to this beach yet it was so commercial and really windy. Drive to Balandra and dont bother.

Places to eat along this stretch of unprotected, rocky beach ... Not my favorite beach at all. We had fish tacos at the restaurant $140 pesos for 4 batter cooked fish tacos! $40 pesos for a Pacifico..
