This beach is very broad with most of the beach covered in nice soft sand. A few rocky areas, but they're easy to avoid. The water was calm, clear and shallow for quite a ways out. You have a choice of staying towards the middle near the businesses to get food and drinks, or heading down towards the palapas and... More

I enjoyed our day at Pichilingue. It was a chilly, windy, January day, but I still had a good time. I love hunting shells and I found several different ones than I already had. The beach is a little rockier than some of the other beaches. Any day at the beach trumps just about anything else! I understand that this... More

After visiting Balandra beach we headed to Tecolote. Tecolote its more crowded and has a some shacks and restaurants here (which is the main advantage over Balandra). A nice little beach at around the same distance as Balandra.

This is the most beautiful beach in the area. We had a great time walking the long beach, meeting and chatting to folks camping there, and will definitely be back to sit at the Bar Tropical Palapa Azul for the best margaritas in the world! Seriously, they are - and I don't even like margaritas!

Sorry my review of Danto posted here. See my Espírito Santo review. This place is great but only go to the big palapa for food and drink. Great staff. They are a 10 and they are very nice. Food is ok they feature Choclate Clams. I don't eat them but they look great. The drinks are great and fair prices.... More

It felt more remote and "wild" than some of the other beaches around, even though you can drive right to it and there are food stands around. I liked having the little restaurants--awesome ceviche and fish tacos.

The waters of Playa El Tecolote are incredibly clear. The beaches are medium sand with a large assortment of sea shells to collect. Mostly beach shacks and the only tourists were the ones from tour buses .

A few beach shacks with food and drinks. Was windy and a bit chilly.. might be more impressive on a nicer day. Lots of RVs, feel cats and dogs.
