Nice place to spend an afternoon and evening.

Lots of small shops and bars for an afternoon relax and a couple of Margaritas. Especially Cantina Hussong's is worth a visit in the evening.

Walking down this street is difficult because the merchants are out in full force trying to get you inside to buy. You can't just walk down it casually without being harassed. They are at times rude and not very nice if you don't go into their shop. I heard a few not so nice comments if you decline.

I ENJOY the niGHTLIFE area HERE. Hussongs and Papa's and beer are extended stays when i visit. ONCE THE Carnival cruisers leave, this place becomes what is truly is, a NIGHT LIFE SPOT!. Its not big, but lots going on here. many live music areas. dont be afraid to rub shoulders w the locals. As long as U show respect,... More

Avenida Ruiz is very close to the cruise ship port and caters to those visitors on days the ships are in. They are also open other days where if you are visiting Ensenada, they tend to bargain more with you than on cruise ship days. It used to be worth the drive to go to La Bufadora for many of... More

Again, Carnival cruisers crowd out the rest of us. The prices for food are high, the products were high and vendors may not negotiate.

A lot to see - small shops, food stalls, restaurants, street enrtertainment and much much more ! Not too far from Hussong's Cantina a rustic bar over 100 years in business. Well poured drinks and quick service. Prices very reasonable. Strolling Mariachis and Trios. A visit that I will not miss on my next visit to Ensenada !

We have been here soo many times, I can't even count them all... and after all the trinket shopping is done, we would always end up at the Mango Mango on the corner. However, we were here again around December 10th, and Mango Mango has been replaced with Papas & Beer. (they used to be accross the street) The beer... More

This is where most of the bars are, you can find from a very old Cantina called Hussong's to a nightclub called Lutzenkirch. It is very easy to pub crawl, most of the time there is no cover. My favorite is Ultramarino, where you can find the famous oyster shots. There are also some Restaurants like Mahi-Mahi (Very good seafood)... More

Avenida Ruiz is the main drag in the tourist section of Ensenada. Here you will find many mid-priced trinkets and souveniers in and old town atmosphere. Also located in this area, are the important hot spots for young people such as Papas and Beer and others. When the ships are in or on a holiday weekend, the town is bubbling... More
