I went with a group of 6 people (3 gals and our male companions) The bartender ripped me off by not returning all of my change for 4 drinks in which I gave $100. I confronted him and he jumped over the bar and grabbed me by my hair. My boyfriend spotted what was happening and ran over by that... More

This was a great place to visit. The music was great, the atmosphere was good, the food was good & plentiful, prices were very reasonable & service was friendly. We sat outside which meant we were bombarded by street vendors but they moved on when we said no... If we end up in Ensenada again, we will visit this place... More

OMG prepare for an all out sensory overload!!!! As the day goes on the craziness only grows. it started with Margaritas and fish tacos then as the drinks and the people keep coming so does the fun. The music is bumping and the staff keeps you involved I got brought up three times given the tequila shot and flipped. I... More

Stopped in to eat and ordered tacos, steak and cheese All I can say is that if they cant make a decent tasting Taco in Mexico in their restaurant, I seriously wonder about the other food they serve. Taco was tasteless and bland All the flavor came from the Salsa that was provided and that was not that great as... More

Definitely a cleaner and newer bar when visiting Ensensada. We did venture to other smaller scale bars, but the location of this one is far nicer and the outdoor seating is the bigger part of its appeal. The beverages are good, the service is very good, and the fun atmosphere is GREAT.

I was here April 2013. We had a huge group of more than a hundred people from our kickball league. It was incredibly fun. Then again, we all from the same organization so the atmosphere might be different than what you would experience going with just your family and friends. In the beginning, everything was fine. But as the day... More

Seems kind of like the end of an era with the old Papas & Beer location closing…but fear not, they have just moved across the street, and although the location is a little cleaner, newer and nicer, the drunken hijinks are still the same! Our group of friends has been doing an annual cruise to Ensenada for more years than... More

It gets 5 stars for the WILD party they have for the cruise ships. What are you looking for? Good authentic Mexican food? Great beer? Great drinks? Real Mexican city feel? Well don't go here! On the OTHER hand if you are looking for a Mardi Gras type of party Mexican style then this IS where you wanna be. Really... More

For those looking for a great place to eat, I can't help you and I would not expect much from this place. In my mind, Papas & Beer is purely for bucket-of-beer drinking (way cheaper than drinking on the ship) and hedonistic people watching. If you keep this in mind, you'll have a great time. $35 for a bucket of... More

On a cruise stop, we decided to wander around Ensenada (actually we were on a recon mission for an upcoming trip, but that's a review for next month). Anyway, we wanted to go to Papas and Beer because we were familiar with the type of location, and were killing time. As we approached the restaurant, I spotted an entrance to... More
