We liked the pelicans, the surf, the local friendly people and the simple lodging facilities, the sunrise

This place is located on the shores of the Sea of Cortez, east of Baja California, Mexico. We were a group of grad students, who visited the Vermillion Sea Field Station for our workshop, which is right on the beach. The sea is full of life: pelican, whales, dolphins, fish, corals, sea-lions, sharks, and many endemic species which could have... More

This is an out of the way RV or campsite. They have a house there and looked like they rent rooms, there is no cell service, but there were flush toilets and hot showers and a palapa for shade. The bay is beautiful, the beach quiet (at least in February) and the stingrays were abundant. Perfect for our kids and... More

Bahia is a nice place if you are going there to go fishing, but we found some of the locals to not be a friendly as other Baja areas.

We sailed on the Carnival cruise line to Ensenada, Mexico. From the cruise terminal it was a short walk to downtown. All stores carry the same souvenirs. The vendors are friendly but not too pushy. A nice surprise was the Malecon (boardwalk) along the marina. No walking vendors, the stores were reasonably priced. It was a pleasant walk with the... More

Don't get me wrong, I did love it!! those were the only cons. Since there are not too many choices for lodging, they can charge a 5 star rate and some one else will get the last room, so you pay! There aren't that many markets and they're not that well stocked, so you pay!. It comes a time in... More

The trip was a 7 hour drive from the International border, the kids really enjoyed the drive to Los Vientos Resort there is an area a few miles of very tall cactus looking plants better said trees, they truly are amazing. We arrived at the resort and were warmly welcomed we had made reservations three months in advance a friend... More

Many visits. Not for luxury travelers. This is "the" place in the summer to come see whale sharks. Walk 200 meters off the road and you in the "Old Baja California" of legend.
