We stopped in Baja de Los Angeles for few days on our sailing boat. The village is nice and friendly, good restaurants and a peaceful atmosphere. Few nice beaches on the southern part of the bay. Since the bay is subjected to strong night winds (called the "Elephantes"), we moved in Puerto Don Juan, just few miles away...this is another... More

This is one of those places everyone dreams to visit ... A small fishermen village lost in space and time on a side of a beautiful bay with a chain of uninhabited island which are so tempting to visit. And it's all surrounded by desert where people have been living for thousand years (first, native americans, then spaniards, then gold... More

A bit of a long ride south of Ensenada, L.A. Bay has been isolated for many years from the rest of Baja Cal by a single dirt road link and almost zero accomadations when we arrived dragging our boat behind us. Now there are several Motel-resorts with rooms to rent, food and drink that are more than adequate and charter... More

Don't go to Ensenada thinking you will find Bahia de Los Angeles, this is in a totally different location. TripAdvisor, I would advise you allow travelers to suggest a new CITY as well. There was no other way I could find to tell you this. Feel free to DELETE this once this correction has been made. Love you TripAdvisor :)

Bahia de Los Angeles is one of the last places in Mexico, with a lot of lonely beaches, lovely sunsets and warm water (during summer). You won't find fancy restaurants or hotels, but if you want to get lost from the world just to relax with your loved ones, this is the perfect place. In town you can find a... More

Bahia de Los Angeles! Just saying it puts a smile on my face. In one day here I snorkeled with a 35+ foot whale shark, then went YellowTail fishing, then on the way back to the port we swam with two more juvenile whale sharks! I have been all over Baja and Bahia de los Angeles remains one of my... More

The best part of BOLA is coming over the final rise after driving 45 miles through desert. The view of the offshore islands is spectacular, and well with the trip just of this. The town is really not much to brag about. Typical coastal Mexican village

This is a great place to fish or just walk on the beach. great seafood also at low prices. On the way stop and see El Marmol, an old mine for onyx with the school house walls still in tact all built from onyx and the graves in the cemetery are all covered in Onyx - a must see place... More

The sea water is warm 80+ and full of marine life. It is a way of life before high rises, hard to find, back to nature, simple place. The fishing is excellent with scores of birds working the different reefs. I have seen Orca whales in the outer waters along with other whales and sea turtles. It is a divers... More
