i was attracted to this trip primarily by seeing pictures on the Lindblad website of gray whale calves, and some moms, coming up so close to the Zodiac style boats that people were petting and kissing them. I worried that that was an unusual experience, but as you will see from my pictures, we had that experience as well. Each... More

What an amazing experience. A great mix of beautiful sandy beaches, blue water and education. Ben was a fantastic teacher who was really patient, with a strong passion for sailing. I would recommend Nautilus Sailing school to anyone who was looking to learn the ins and outs of chartering their own sailboat.

Bahia Puerto Balandra is within the Balandra Zone of Ecological Conservation and Community Interest north of La Paz and just south of Isla Espirito Santo. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Protected Zone. It is as amazing a white sand beach as you can find anywhere. It is a 30 minute boat ride north of La Paz. The sand is... More

Nautilus Sailing offers this week long live aboard class in the Sea of Cortez. We had a great trip with Cptn. Benjamin Martin. He was a great teacher and was wonderful for the novice sailor. He always had another way to explain something I didn't understand and was incredibly patient. This was a great way to get certified and have... More

My boyfriend and I just returned from our learn to sail course in the Sea of Sea Cortez. What a great experience we had. Our instructor, Ben, was very knowledgeable andVERY Patient with us both. We learned a ton, and can't wait to get back out there and use our new skills. Highly recommend this experience.

Nautilus sailing offers a great opportunity to take a sailing vacation in Mexico, while earning a sailing license. The price is a steal considering you would pay at least as much just to get the certification at a local sailing club. Its a fun environment, and each person has the responsibility of being captain one day, and being chef another... More

This Seattle based company has an odd name but we had a magnificent cruise whale watching in the Sea of Cortes with them. It is 7,000 miles from where we live and this is an expensive vacation for 7 nights but is is worth every penny. Cruises leave from San Jose del Cabo in the evening. The boat is wonderfully... More

What an amazing adventure! Marc was a knowledgeable and encouraging captain with an all women crew. We learned so much, sailed quite a bit and had some fun as well! It was a challenging week but very satisfactory. What Nautilus offers in terms of the books provided and the skills that are taught is very helpful in learning to sail... More
