Brilliant beach, was very calm when we visited. Excellent for families with kids as the beach is very leveled with no sudden drops of falls, no coral reefs. good for swimmers. Low tides are great as you will get to see 2 different shores. Please remember to take a strong sun block & don't forget to apply it, the sun... More

Nice 'beach' for taking sunset pictures, but not a place to lay down, swim and sunbath. No sand at all.

Stayed Aonang Beach for 3 nights. Visited this beach in the first evening. The sunset is very beautiful, during the evening the coastline went down very far so you can walk on the beach. Comparing to the Ao Nang Beach, this beach is a bit muddy so less tourists on this beach. I came to this beach not to sea-bathing... More

A long stretch of empty beach. There are eating places along the road, but they were all empty when I was there.

Walk to the top of Noppharathara Beach during low tide and cross to the little island. It is really beautiful there and you can find lots of little shells. The Noppharathara Beach is best for swimming as Aonang Beach can get very rough.

I had planned to stay at Ao-Nang but thanks to a local lady who took us to this beach and I am so glad we stayed here rather than the neighboring beach. Its quieter, cleaner and prettier. The stay and eating options too are much cheaper and better on this beach, as they are right across the road from the... More

Most come here to get transfer on their long tail boats to other islands in the regions. Beach is frequent mainly by the locals. No powdery white sands here but view is good.

This beach starts right next to Ao Nang beach. We stayed at the end of the ao nang and could walk to both the beaches with ease. This beach is quieter compared to AO nang and have lot of trees and locals prefer this place more. I loved the peaceful atmosphere and the small islands at the end of the... More

We stayed in Krabi for five weeks and I quickly learnt that it was much nicer and far more peaceful at Noppharathara than it was at Ao Nang. It was the perfect spot to play with my two year old son, he was entertained for hours on end. PROS - small waves, shallow entry point (good for little ones) -... More
