TA has listed Phra Nang Beach as #1 with very good ratings and then another Ao Phra Nang with very mixed ratings. This only creates confusion. In general what you read here: the bad reviews are about Ao Nang town or Ao Nang town beaches (correct in bad reviews) while the good reviews are about Phra Nang Beach, a 20... More

Lovely Beach but not white sand. Almost everyone go there whoever staying in Ao Nang. Plenty of massage adjacent to the beach and restaurant. Lovely rock to look out. Sometimes beach had strong waves other time it calm.

An excellent beach for beach enthusiasts. It's really clean, nice soft sands and clear beach/water which you can spend an hour without realizing it.

The beach was located very near to the hotel (5mins from red ginger chic hotel). A short yet beautiful beach. The good part is when we visited it was very empty and not many people (around noon). You can spend some quiet time walking all the way to the end away from the long tail boats..

Stayed here a couple of weeks and enjoyed it but having visited many places in Thailand its not up there with the best. The place is developed but relaxed. The beach isn't great and you can only swim certain times during the day due to the tide, so if you visit its best to get a hotel with a pool.... More

Tacky tourist trap of a town fronted by a dismal beach, I avoid it when I can but friends insisted on meeting there. Even worse than I remember, it has grown in size and decreased equally in charm. As an added insult prices for food, drink and lodging are ridiculously, absurdly high - consistently double what you'd pay for the... More

The beach is a bit disappointing during the day. It's a very thin strip of sand and not the nicest to lie out in. Waves can make it difficult to have a relaxing swim and there's a lot of noise from the traffic. In the evening time though it's really lovely to watch the sunset, but be sure to walk... More
