We took part in Ya's cooking school while staying in Ao Nang with our son and his girlfriend. My husband and i had done a cooking school last time we were in Thaland in Chiang Mai and loved the experience so much we wanted the kids to experience it to and show them how to cook real thai food. Ya... More

Ya picked us up from Sheraton hotel (15 min drive) and we were lucky enough to have her exclusively to ourselves as it wasn't high season. We had our own cooking stations. All ingredients were fresh and prepared by us with Ya and her assistant explaining nutritional/cosmetic purposes of each ingredient. Ya also entertained us with her stories of living... More

We were lucky to book at a time when there was only a total of 3 people in the group. (sometimes it can be as large as 16 people Miss Ya said) We got a lot of personal attention, Miss Ya told some great stories and really explained the technique well. The food we cooked we great, really tasty -... More

This was a great experience and we went away having learnt a lot. All the food we cooked was fresh and delicious. The only let down was that there was almost too much being cooked at once and it was hard to keep up on what was going on when we were all cooking different things and the staff were... More

We booked our course for Friday 24th October, and was collected from our hotel by the Cookery School's car, when we arrived there was another couple waiting to start the course with us- so basically we had one-to-one coaching. Course was informative, we learnt about how to bruise the vegetable's first, then chop them correctly, make our own curry paste's... More

Ya and her staff were excellent, they showed us all the ingredients and how they were good to aid digestion, then how to bang bang and chop chop them correctly ready for the cooking! Ya explains everything very we'll and has an excellent sense of humour! Then we made curry pastes, cooked soup, main curry dishes, and salad. We all... More

We spent a wonderful afternoon cooking with ya. A group of 5 ladies, we decided to learn the basics of Thai cooking. We learnt so much more from ya. She was warm, eager to teach and simplified everything. Her methods were so clear and concise. She thought us about 8 dishes which are mainstream Thai dishes that we all know... More
