We went here on a long tail boat from tubkaak beach, it cost 1700bht + 300bht each when we entered the island, WELL WORTH IT!!!! The trip was great, we went on the beach island first and it was beautiful, white sand and clear water, floating islands and great for snorkerling, the boat people from tubkaak tours gave us the... This is a lovely day trip. We did it with Krabi Kingdom, only BTH$1000 p/p including kayaking, lunch, water and snorkel. Visibility in the area is not that good for snorkel, though. Most people were feeding the fish with bananas so they could have a chance to spot some. A bit disappointing. The kayak in hong island is totally worth... More

Visited this island just over a year ago and it was very nice. You could see the bottom of the lagoon and there were no more than 7-10 long tail boats by the beach side. We went there today and now you can't see the bottom of the lagoon as there are so many longtail boats going in and out.... More

We loved this tour. The view, swimming, and snorkeling was fantastic. You also want to make sure to get to the lagoon and walk around. Do be aware that from April to October sudden storms are regular. We got caught up in one in the afternoon and the boat had to find shelter where we could wait it out.

Booked with Lucky Last Bar Tours, after reading recommendations on Trip Advisor. We must have booked the wrong trip! We booked their Hong Island + 7 Island sunset tour on a larger Longtail boat. Waited 30 minutes to be collected, even though I had double checked with tour seller that brochure said 10.30 pick up, she assured me 9.30. Herded... More

We wasn't sure which tour to go on. After asking some different people we decided to do the Hong Islands. Well organised and lots of water and fruit offered. Visited the islands and snorkelled, lots of fish, sunbathed and kayaked too. Well worth the money. The only thing I struggled with was getting on and off the boats. I did... More

Our family chose the speedboat option from Ao Nang as we got a good price. We've done other tours in previous years that were long and tiring but the Hong Island trip is perfect! (10am-3pm) We went with Krabi Discovery company and the driver happened to be quiet a show man! Never did we just pull up to a stop,... More

We have been to Hong Island three times now while staying in Ao Nang. We just love it, we loved Phi Phi too when we first visited there but the speed boat tours have ruined it, just too many people. I hope it doesn’t happen to Hong. We hired a long tail boat out to Hong from Ao Nang and... More

We booked an exclusion via our hotel, Sofitel Krabi, to Hong Island via speed boat - a quick 10min ride. The island is beauuuutiful. We kayaked to the lagoon on the opposite side (about 15min, beware of the wake from the long boats), snorkel with the fish (the kids figured out that the fish "like chips and pears" lol, so... More
