I'm not a golfer but the DCGC has been a haven for a drink and/or a meal for years when walking between Low Newton and Craster. Open to non -members and a really good line in food for refuelling. Most of the golfers seem happy with the course and the views seen when walking along the dunes by the links... More

Played here 8/7/15, staff were friendly, no real pro shop which let it down, but the course was immaculate! Greens were perfect, every hole is a typical links challenge! Bunkers were immaculate! Plenty of walkers who were polite and courteous when teeing off! Thouroghly enjoyable round!!

Its nice to see a golf club which is open to non-members. We just stopped for a coffee and a bite to eat and very nice it was too. Friendly staff. The golf course looked good too. Worth a visit.

One of the best courses in Northumberland, if anything just for some of the views, they are absolutely fantastic. It's quite hilly so we often get buggies, but we keep coming back year after year as part of our annual golf trip. There's no clubhouse which is strange, everything is done from the bar. Overall though, it's a must for... More

What a place to play golf.... Amazing scenery, tricky holes as been on the coast. Well worth a round on here although be prepared for the wind along the cliff tops. The clubhouse is great with a good variety of food and drink and the staff are warm and welcoming.

Not the best course on the Northumberland coast and a little expensive for what it is, but fantastic setting and nice to play, not a hard course and easy to walk. Not too busy when we played, except for all the walkers using the paths close to the course and the clubhouse facilities. We had lunch when we finished and... More

This is a course that appears to be set up for visitors - forgiving on a benign day but shows its teeth when the wind blows. The shop/cafe is open to any body but is not really large enough to accommodate large numbers. Excellent value for a golf package of bacon sandwich & coffee, 18 holes of golf followed by... More

Played at a weekend, off winter tees, with questionable quality greens, and was charged £18 for the privilege, and that was with a member. Add to that excessive charges for everything else, and you get the feeling the place exists to generate as much dosh, as quickly as possible. The course is alright in the winter, but not a patch...
