What a place to play golf.... Amazing scenery, tricky holes as been on the coast. Well worth a round on here although be prepared for the wind along the cliff tops. The clubhouse is great with a good variety of food and drink and the staff are warm and welcoming.

Not the best course on the Northumberland coast and a little expensive for what it is, but fantastic setting and nice to play, not a hard course and easy to walk. Not too busy when we played, except for all the walkers using the paths close to the course and the clubhouse facilities. We had lunch when we finished and... More

This is a course that appears to be set up for visitors - forgiving on a benign day but shows its teeth when the wind blows. The shop/cafe is open to any body but is not really large enough to accommodate large numbers. Excellent value for a golf package of bacon sandwich & coffee, 18 holes of golf followed by... More

Played at a weekend, off winter tees, with questionable quality greens, and was charged £18 for the privilege, and that was with a member. Add to that excessive charges for everything else, and you get the feeling the place exists to generate as much dosh, as quickly as possible. The course is alright in the winter, but not a patch... This has to be one of the most scenic courses in NE England with Dunstanburgh Castle towering over the farthest southern part of the course. The course is pleasant to play. It is wide enough not to be annoying but tough enough not to be boring either. Some holes are joyful. The third has a tee shot over a hillock... More

Food was good but a bit pricey for what you get 3.50 for a roll and sausage is on the steep side.food was good and they had some nice cakes for morning coffee.cosy and staff were friendly but other customers who were regulars were not so friendly. Not much parking near by in busy seasons but plenty up the hill... More

Felt that our custom wasn't wanted, staff too busy talking too each other. I could only have a cup of coffee as didn't cater for gluten free diets

OK the course condition is not mint but the location overlooking the huge beach and Dunstanburgh Castle cannot be bettered. The ladies who run the clubhouse are extremely friendly and knowledgeable and the rates provide good value for money. Overall, a great place to play links golf.
