Can honestly say we have not encountered such unfriendly staff anywhere we gave visited. So much so that we didn't even go through the doors and instead decided to carry on to the ship at Low Newton where we knew we would get a warm welcome. It looked like the two groups behind us got the same welcome as they... More

Unlike most golf clubs, this one welcomed visitors to their cafe and it made an excellent refreshment stop at the end of the walk along the coastal path.

This is links golf and Northumberland views and hospitality at its best. The golf is a stern test the first time you play it so make notes. No hole is like another, and prepare for a gallery as there are plenty of footpaths lining the course. A few blind tee shots but marker posts at least give you a hint.... More

Try Dunstanburgh for fantastic views and challenging golf. Topped off by great hospitality in the clubhouse.

This is a good test of golf. The lack of yardage doesn't matter as there is always some wind to challenge golfer s of all ability out plus you can get round in decent time. Give me this over some corporate layout where you're going to be out there 4+ hours every time. Clubhouse great too - always well looked... More

Played the course twice in a few days luckily on bright and fairly still days. Tricky but not impossible fairly short par 70 designed by James Braid early in 20th century. My wife and I are keen golfers but both high handicappers and we managed to have fun particularly as we are used to inland parkland courses with plenty of... More

This is links golf, like it or not. The wind howls off the water; the greens are like concrete; the rough means a lost ball and the scenery is spectacular. If this appeals to you, then run to this course in little Emblteon by the sea.

To me Dunstanburgh Castle golf course offers everything that a links course should offer, sea views, plenty of sand, nice tight fairways and fast and interesting greens .

We popped in one day just for some tea and cakes, the staff were smiley the tea and cakes very nice. The Burgers and chips looked tasty too however the entire place is still living in a '70's timewarp, quite funny really.

Fun course, great views. Lots of hidden greens from fairways so just go to have fun! Lots of hills and climbs but well worth it for the price!
