We visited the Andromeda Gardens independently by car and had the place almost to ourselves. It was a nice detour from the scenic east coast and cafe had good juices and sandwiches. We spent about 1 1/2 hours wandering the two suggested routes and taking photos. Our daughter aged 17 months enjoyed looking at (and trying to grab) the flowers.... More

We visited this as an excursion from our cruise. We picked this only after our initial excursion was cancelled. The only people there were the group from our tour bus which was nice. The gardens were ok, but nothing spectacular. I've seen better gardens at Disney World.... It was quiet and peaceful but in my opinioin not worth the price.... More

We visited after hearing it recommended by fellow guests at our hotel. To be frank we were a bit disappointed. The signage in the garden was not particularly good and at noon in peak season the cafe was closed. The garden itself was the creation of a now deceased horticulturalist and with her passing seems to have somewhat lost it's... More

We visited early morning and had the gardens to ourselves. There are two trails which we completed in just over an hour. Lovely and peaceful with loads of wildlife and tropical plants from all over the world, also great views. More

Good variety of plants there and good information given via the leaflets on the two walks around the gardens. There is a little cafe and giftshop. Take appropriate footwear (as they warn themselves) the footpaths can get slippery when wet. More

We've visited Andromeda many times; it gets better with each visit. Owned by the Barbados National Trust, managed by a professional team, it's a peaceful garden of Eden. Interesting, lovely, informative. Beautiful plantings and examples of tropical plants and trees, pathways, water streams and pools. Friendly and welcoming staff, nice gift shop and delightful cafe with delicious food. We always... More

We are so very sorry you did not enjoy your tour of the gardens. Getting around in Barbados can be a bit tricky and we are working to update all the signage for the Botanic Gardens. Please let us know what we can do to improve our setting for others. Kind Wishes Victoria Goddard More

was pleased to see this garden again, last visited 38 years ago! So much has become established, and the planting is a delight to observe. Loved the pathways and plant listings. Views through the landscape towards the sea, breathtaking. Slightly put off by some recent reviews, and I can only disagree with them. The girls at reception and cafe were... More

This is a lovely place to wander for an hour or so. I had fun spotting the plants around the island afterwards. More
