I visited Thirlestane Castle in October of 2007 with my wife and a couple of close friends. As a Maitland descendant, I was curious about family history and the area where the early Maitlands lived. One of the finest place I've ever been. Nice and exquisite interior. The exhibit includes the everyday life from the royalty to the servants, very interesting. Really worth a visit more
