I organised a trip to Ardnamurchan Charters for a group of friends to use the self drive boats. The drive there is very scenic but on slow roads so allow plenty of travel time. Parking space is limited, if you are a group car sharing is useful. We found the company to be very flexible and accommodating and allowed us... More

We arrived on spec and having initially been confused with a family who had pre-booked, were able to have the safety briefing with them and head out onto Loch Sunart for a 4-hour boat hire. All safety instructions were clearly given (albeit interrupted at points by a large friendly dog belonging to the instructor) and the boat we had was... More

WOW! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! You certainly delivered today! A excellent day worth every penny . We started around 9.30 with a gentle cruise around the island in loch Sunart ,out towards the open sea via some cliffs ,. Oh only to see a pair breeding Sea Eagles with the odd Golden Eagle and Buzzard thrown in... More

Ard Charters provide boat trips to the local islands and lochs. They have a number of boats some of which you can drive yourself. The team there are very helpful and eager to please and ensure you enjoy your time. They are also very knowledgeable about the wildlife etc. Recommended.

We had a long day on the boat but unfortunately failed to see anything. It was however a very enjoyable day. It was very, warm and calm and the scenery was spectacular. The landing on the Isle of Muck was a little disappointing as there was a lot of building work going on. Well worth the trip but don't bank... More

While on honeymoon on Ardnamurchan we took the opportunity to go out with Ardnamurchan Charters on their whale watching trip having been told of good sightings. The weather helped make the day so fantastic, with temperatures well into the 20s and remarkably flat seas. As well as spotting a minke whale, the highlight of the trip was sitting in the... More

We set off into Loch Sunart after very clear and helpful intructions on how to drive the boat and safety intructions to look at the wild life and fish. The 3 of us had an amazing day, saw lots of birds and caught a mackeral. The most amazing thing, which is often the case in Scotland was the light. We... More

We took the 2 hour trip to the Treshnish Islands to see puffins. It was a long journey there but the crew pointed out porpoises and basking shark on the way. The island we stopped at was incredible. Hundreds of beautiful puffins within feet of us. It was great. Andy then took us further up the island to see other... More

We booked a 2 hour trip for later the same day. We were then a little disappointed when we were told that there had been a mix up and our trip was cancelled. However, the company kindly offered us a 4 hour trip as a replacement with no extra charge, and we had a fantastic time. The owner was very... More

We have just returned from a memorable and magical stay for a week on the isle of Carna. This is an amazing location and we and our three dogs had a fantastic week. The views from the cottage kitchen and conservatory are spectacular. Basically these rooms are the best wildlife hide imaginable with the bonus of food and drink to... More
