You can only get there by boat. There are no lifeguards, restrooms or camping. And, if you can manage to get there, it is absolutely worth the effort. It is one of those rare places where you can still find a quarter mile of beach for yourself on some days. Relax on a beach, take an amazing hike, or snorkle... More

The island is super fun. A great place to hang out, we only went for a couple hours and wish we could have stayed longer! Definitely a must do while you are on the island! We took the Elvis water taxi and loved our captains:)

An island seemingly in the middle of nowhere yet so close to venture around. The swimming is amazing and the beach is just breathtaking to walk. I yearn for this every time I am away too long.

We went to Stocking Island to check out all the hype, but unfortunately were disappointed. The food was not great, and the service was poor. Definitely not as friendly as we've seen in Exuma.

Stocking Island is a nice place to stay for a half day. The Restaurant Chat n chills offers very good Food and always a cool Kalik... the beach is nice, the best is, that the stingrays are very curious. They come to you in the hope of some Food... You can touch them and they are not afraid of humans...... More

We headed over early on a Monday to Stocking Island. Chat n' Chill wasn't open yet so we hiked over to the Atlantic side of the island. I am only 5 foot, 1 inch but the wading across the jetty wasn't too bad. We have an awesome waterproof bag that kept everything dry. When we got back to where Chat... More

Stocking Island was one of our favorite places! There are water taxis ($12 round trip) to and from Exuma that leaves every hour making it very convenient to travel back and forth. My boyfriend and I spent a day walking around and exploring the island. We discovered various marked trails leading all over! We would stumble upon one after the... More

We took the water taxi from Georgetown for $12 per person. It's. A scenic 10 minute ride. Once on Stocking island Chat n Chill is a minute walk. Beach is lovely and you can sit in sun or in shade of trees. Bring cash for food and drinks. There are tables but no beach chairs. Bring a towel. Worth the... More

Sunday March 15th 2015 was my first trip to Stocking Island. Last year the weather was to rough to go across. Very friendly staff, great food, beautiful beach & ocean. You must try this if you are in Georgetown.

Best thing we did on the entire trip. Beautiful island with volleyball , picnic tables, and a beautiful beach, with sting rays swimming around. Great place to spend the day exploring
