We took a Ship's Tour while in Airlie Beach to the GBR on Whitsunday's boat. This was an expensive but great day. The snorkeling from a pontoon platform was spectacular. Make sure you go see this at some point in your life. I am sure we done this on 'Quicksilver tours' when I was younger. Fantastic scenery! I actually visited this in 1999, I dont have the option to say that though.

The Great barrier reef was a never forgettable experience, and hopefully an experience i will do again. Although the weather was not the greatest, cyclone hitting just of the coast of Cairns a couple days before this did not affect the wonders below the surface. I had never seen it from the air, but when we flew over and my husband said it's the third longest on the world (104 miles) I had to see it and Randy Thompson) our guide made it happen

Andros is home to the worlds 3rd largest barrier reef. If you fish or dive you'll think you've died and gone to heaven! If possible check out AUTEC on North Andros-it's a joint venture with the US navy and the UK navy. They test submarines in the tunnels that run in the underwater tunnels,
