We have been to Hopetown many times and it just seems to get better each time, but last time we made the mistake of visiting the Coffee House and have never in the Bahamas come across such a rude man as the one who served us in the coffee shop (I believe he is the owner or the owners son!)... more

Unfortunately in retail difficult people can be difficult to deal with. The apparent issue arose over us not having fat free milk when we revealed that we only had 1% at that moment on a very busy day with many customers in line waiting behind her. She cancelled her skinny latte order angrily before I had a chance to finish...

Veron's key lime pie is not of this world! We went to the adorable Hope Town for one day and ran around the beaches, did some shopping, went the the coffeeshop off the docks (GREAT coffee!) and picked up a pie based on what we'd heard. BELIEVE THE HYPE!!! The store is adorable with quotes taped up everywhere and the... more

I traveled to Elbow Cay last April and stayed in a lovely cottage with my husband and baby girl. It is just lovely! The 'downtown' was adorable. The beaches were gorgeous and the history of hopetown is pretty fascinating. We rented a great cottage from hopetown hideaways and the service was very good. It's just a nice relaxing place with... more

Just returned hours ago from a trip to Elbow Cay. We stayed at Las Brisas, rented through Hopetown Hideaways. A perfectly lovely house which was impeccably clean and extremely well furnished and equipped with everyone kitchen item we needed. We loved this trip. We rented a boat and explored other islands and beaches including Great Guana, Tilloo, and Lubbers Quarters.... more

We stayed at the Sea Spray resort which is relatively close to the famous Tahiti beach by golf cart. The resort comprises a series of cottages which are pretty and very well kept. The place is a little uptight it may be due to the manager who is everpresent and sometimes we felt he was always watching us as we... more

My Husband and I traveled with 2 other couples to Elbow Cay. Just got home on Friday Jan. 18, 2008. We were there for a week. Rented one of the villa houses at Turtle Hill II. The grounds were very well kept. The house we stayed in was a 3 bedroom. Clean clean clean. Spacious bedrooms and living area/kitchen. Amy... more

We just returned from a trip to Elbow cay March 2007. We had a nice time but not exactly what we expected. The Island seemed very East Coast and reminded all of us more of the Carolinas then what you typically think of when you think of the Bahamas. Very SECLUDED there is nothing to do except hang on the... more

I stayed in Elbow Cay in late January '06. My girlfriend and I were looking for a Caribbean getaway from a Boston winter. We stayed at the Hopetoen Harbor Lodge, which was great, but the island itself doesn't have much going on. There was no cell phone service on the island, no t.v. in the hotel, and no newspapers anywhere.... more

Elbow Cay is the most amazing vacation ever. We rented a boat and took excursions everyday to surrounding islands or just to cruise around the bay and watch dolphins and look at the sea life you could see through the clear water. The people on the island are so friendly, and it is so relaxing to not have to worry... more

We visited Elbow Cay in April 2004. A quick getaway. We landed on Marsh Harbor by noon, had lunch at Sapodilly's (sp?) before taking a ferry over to Elbow Key. We stayed at the Hopetown Harbor Lodge which was ok. Nothing spectacular. The beach at the lodge was nice. We visited Tahiti beach which was a great experience. The water... more
