This water taxi, Taino Beach Ferry is so handy. Getting to the square where the action is for bars, restaurants, straw market shopping. We highly recommend this when you want to travel from hotel to local shopping. Best of all, three years ago, on this ferry is where i met my honey. Relaxing Bahamas, terrific drinks, beautiful women and i... More

My husband and I stayed at a hotel on the Taino side and would use this ferry to get to the marketplace. The ferry itself is great and the rides were fun, however the system isn't very good. Some people would pay for the tickets and other people wouldn't. We were awfully confused by this especially since we would always... More

the ferry ride was the best part of going over to tanio beach. the schedule wasn't always on time but you are in the Bahamas so it's expected. we were happy that it was free with the hotel otherwise it would have been a waste of $6 each! the captain is very nice :)

Used the ferry everyday. Sometimes they take tickets, sometimes not. Either way, it is a good way to travel back and forth from Taino Beach.

Probably the fastest & best way to get to Taino Beach. We were told it was only for locals, but lots of tourists were using it too. For a better view of the channel, I suggest the glass-bottom boat tour.

The ferry is necessary to get from the resort to the Marketplace. It is a quick trip at a reasonable rate. The drivers were professional and competent. The ferry runs once an hour on the hour from the resort to the Marketplace and at 10 after the hour on the trip back. It would be nice if it ran every... More

This ferry runs every hour and i have used it many times when visiting Freeport. I enjoy the nice relaxing time on it and it goes right into Port Lucaya . I enjoy how the person driving the ferry almost always remembers you from two or three days after being on and they try to engage i some fun talk... More

It was fast, fairly reliable transportation back and forth from Taino Beach....where we are staying...and to the Marketplace...we missed our grocery run though because the didn't do a pickup when it was raining...then lied to say we was there....then the story changed to... I drove by and didn't see anyone...
