same old, same old tourist trap. Spotted a cute beach bag that was plastic waterproof. They wanted $25 and were not willing to negotiate. Restrooms were very clean. Nice place to stroll without the high pressure sales like in Nassau.

Most Saturdays there is a live JazzBand playing in the square! Mainly Count Basies fabulous Jazz pieces! There are numerous eating places and bars around the square and the atmosphere is electric!

This was a very popular place. We first saw the Square the first night we were in Freeport. We went to the Marketplace for dinner and then walked around. It caught our attention because there was a tremendous band playing on the stage and they sounded great. Before we knew it - everyone was up dancing, singing, kids were jumping... More

We enjoyed listening to the live bands on the weekends. There was plenty of seating. Some were at tables with umbrellas. You can get a drink from a nearby bar and watch the show. There were additional show nights when the large cruise ships were in the harbor.

The busiest part of Port Lucaya , it's not huge but it does have a selection of eateries and bars where you can sit outside and enjoy the atmosphere. Walking distance from the main hotels , it's next to a small marina which is a bit dirty in places but it's still fun to look at the boats. There is... More

Count Basie Square is a nice place to be during the week-end. It is located right in the middle of Port-Lucaya where all the shops, bars and restaurants are. Some diners and customers usually end up in the square anyhow where there is music and dancing during the week-end. People of all ages take in the ambiance.

Made a stop here. Not too much to do except a little shopping. 20 different shops and all sell the same thing. Go figure.
