I think we found Barbary beach... There were enough signs pointing us the direction of it, but nothing to tell you that you've arrived! My friends and I drove around for quite a while trying to find the beach, and took many detours that placed us on abandoned roads. At one point we ended at a road block, and littered... More

There's a long stretch of beautiful sand to walk along and you get to Peterson Cay from this coast line. However, there's garbage everywhere from beer cans to oil bottles, rope, shoes, etc. They need a park service to maintain, but there's really nothing else out there and the resort is abandoned/not finished so it may improve overtime.

Not alot of people, nice long beach to stroll and catch some rays. Rent a scooter or coconutz motorized bike and head out. Light traffic and seclusion is a welcome sight.

Barbary Beach is on the eastern part of the island. It requires transportation to get there. A lot of persons go there to have group outings. It is a wonderful beach with a lot of trees to provide some shade on the shore. Make sure go in a group to this beach as it is out from the centre of... More

I had to decide if I was rating the beach or the island's lack of telling you when you arrive. There's signage showing the direction of the beach but never when you arrive. We found it by pulling off on an opening in the trees, with a small gravel area. The area before the beach was dirty and rough (broken... More

secluded, away from the beaten path. Miles of magnificent sand and magical blue waters. A beach comber and nature buff's paradise. Not enough good signage to get you there.

This is known as a local place to visit. There were only 2 other people on the entire beach but they were so far away we couldn't really see any details of them.

We did not feel safe at all here. We drove for awhile and commented on how everything leading to the beach was desolate. We turned into one of the parking areas which is enough for 2 cars. There was trash and broken glass all over. This was the same at other parking spots. We stayed long enough to take pictures.... More
