Unless a cruise ship is in town this is an almost deserted beach. Taino is a very long beach divided by an outcropping of rocks. One side is almost completely dominated by a resort and the other is more public. There aren't any shells worth finding however, if you swim out just a little way near the rocks or the... More

Love this beach, we've been here a handful of times. The is a restaurant which is ok. There is a pier you can walk out on to get great photos.

Very nice pool and the bartender (Alphie) at the swim-up bar was quite a character. Nice beach and open air restaurant.

You must go to this open Fish Fry - they have it every Wednesday.... the food made fresh while you watch, and it melts in your mouth, and the bon fire after dinner will take the chill out on a cool feb. night

During my pre-vacation research of Grand Bahamas Island, it became very clear that a visit to the Island MUST include a Wednesday night fish-fry on Taino Beach. So hired a cab for $24 to take us to the fish-fry, wait for us whilst we ate and danced and then take us back to the resort. Many resorts offer a group... More

The beach is beautiful and clean as most Bahamas beaches. They have a very good restaurant offering inside and outside eating areas right on the beach!

Lots of shade provided by huts, trees, etc. Water sports include Parasailing, snorkeling, banana boats, jet skis and paddle boats.

This is the nicest beach on Grand Bahama Island. Loved the fish fry on Wednesday, it was the best. Hard to find, all maps are misleading about location and distance.

This was a nice, quiet beach to relax on, just a short cab ride from the market! Great people and cheap drinks close by!
