Interesting market full of souvenirs and interesting finds. The vendors were not very pushy and it is possible to bargain on prices. There are a number of good restaurants of varied flavor and cuisine, as well as bars to get a drink. Overall a great shopping and dining experience.

This market is just across the street from Memories and Grand Lucyan. It has lots of shops, restaurants, bars and a beautiful Marina. We enjoyed going there just for a walk and loved talking with the shop owners. Lots of great gift ideas.

Located 5 min. From our luxury Villa #6535005, which was awesome. Local culture at its best! This is the heart of Freeport and has a little of everything local.

Port Lucaya is fun by day and great place to party by night. The straw market has many things to choose from, negotiate with them. Lots of unique gifts to purchase. Great restaurants to eat with very good service. Cappucino's, Agave, and Batemans being among my favorites.

The marketplace had everything from top quality jewelry to purely Bahamian treasures, as well as restaurants, boat trips, snorkeling and scuba trips. You could spend all day exploring all the little shops and probably not see it all, but it's fun trying! The casino is directly across the street and the beach access is a short walk from the marketplace... More

You can bargain here. I'd recommend going to the casino and asking for lots of $1s, $5s, and $10s. It makes it easier to talk them down from $20 for a t-shirt when you can get it for a few bucks less. Prices only get jacked up because they compete with each other. If you are friendly with the vendors,... More

But there's a few of them that have good prices you just have to keep walking around and asking before... More

Marketplace is right across the street to Memories, where we stayed. We didn't plan on spending a lot of money on this trip and didn't. Yet it was nice to wander over a few times and pick up a some things. Did enjoy one of the many restaurants at the market for a lunch one day, was good.

Not a fan of the little shops. Cool stuff to see but I don't like to be hassled to go in. They were never rude and they were all smiling I am just not a fan of stuff like that. I recommend going to see the market its quite nice just be prepared to smile and say no thank you... More
