Xanadu beach

We visited the Xanadu beach April 12, 2015 and found that the resort had been closed down. There were no activities or facilities. Pretty beach though.

Bought a time share here and was never able to get to use it and they cover themselves by putting you up ion a hotel inferior in location, atmosphere, room size, furnishings, Almost impossible to make contact and then given a merry run around. So much money spent and so much deceit.

It's a very quiet beach. Lovely white sand and lots of shells and some beach glass. Not very many people there. Lovely view.

Lovely beach but secluded ....be very wary of strangers. Lots of trash decorating the place and not in a good way.

This is abandoned and should be fenced off until it is purchased and restored. Unsavory characters are lurking in the area. Be very careful of your belongings if you decide to go there.

We just got back to our condo from Xanadu beach which is just a short stay from where we are staying for a couple of months. This is the second year we have stayed in this area and often walk over to Xanadu and spend an hour or more. It is a beautiful beach - no amenities and we are... More

THIS BEACH SHOULD NOT BE ATTENDED BY TRAVELERS. My mother had her purse stolen while sitting on a beach chair alongside the purse. A native was lurking behind the brush which is located right behind the beach and simply came up from behind her and took the item. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! This beach is basically abandoned because the Xanadu resort has... More

There are no amenities here, as the old Xanadu Hotel is no longer operating. It is very quiet here but a beautiful sandy beach to explore or, of course, swim at.

The Xanadu Beach is right next to a set of condominiums and the Xanadu Beach hotel, which is about to reopen. It is a nice beach., frequented by a number of people. There is some shade available on the beach that you can pull up a chair and enjoy the cool breeze, as you take a break form the water.... More

This is a beautiful Bahamian beach with crystal clear water, but unfortunately it's basically abandoned. Almost every place surrounding this beach is empty; the hotel is closed and there are apartments in the area but not a lot of people seem to stay there. It's quite sad because it's such a beautiful place that deserves more visitors! It's a really... More
