My husband and two teen daughters just did this trip. It was great -- but not for someone who is out if shape or a poor swimmer. You first need to kayak a mile to get to Pesrsons cay, ( which is a tiny, tiny island) and then once you are there you snorkel for over an hour without having... More

We don't choose to be one of 20 sheep on pre-arranged tours, so we rented a car and drove to Barbary Beach. Yes if it looks abandoned you're in the right place. We had to off road a little in the VW rented car, but it's just sand!!! The Cay is about 1.5 kms out from the sand line. Go... More

Ask anyone for Shalton Barr. Everyone knows him. He will take you to the most marvelous spots on the island. He's a treasure.

Took taxi from Cruise port; Is about 20 minutes and $8 per person each way; We started from the Wyndham hotel and it was a 20 min boat ride Equipment quality was good; They took us to the island which is about 100 yards by 100 yards; Then had about 2 hours to snorkel and explore around the island; Good... Snorkeling here was incredible! The colors were so vivid and we saw so much! Beyond the many different fish we saw a turtle, octopus, lobster, urchins, star fish, crabs, and more! Away from all the tourist craziness, so peaceful and hidden.

We took a 2 hour jet ski tour there. It was quite wonderful. We tried to do a little snorkeling there but the tide was a little to low.

Great little island for seeing hermit crabs and snorkelling with the fishes. The Jetski part was fun (half hour out, half hour back), the snorkelling a little short on time. On the return you take a lovely trip thru lucayan harbor and pass the homes of the rich and famous .

We took a day-long boat tour with Shalton (who is AWESOME! You can reach him at 242-441-5379 or 242-441-6704 for his Heaven & Earth Tour) to Peterson Cay. He speared fish while we were snorkeling then took us to Peterson Cay. We snorkeled and wandered around the small island while he prepped the freshly caught fish and cooked it for... More
