We visited this beautiful island by kayak, and we were amazed by its beauty instantly! With warm, crystal clear water, you can actually see plenty of fish and vegetation in the water without even donning a mask. However, the true magic of this place is really in the snorkeling adventures that it affords. It is easy to snorkel around the... More

We sailed there on our boat and snorkeled all day and then anchored and stayed the night. It was soooo quiet and beautiful.

$55 per person for a bus ride to some under-whelming caves. You walk down a path then onto a boardwalk and peer into some water. Gold Rock beach across the road, however, is worth a visit as it is really beautiful. After the 1.5 hour stop, you get shuttled to a local restaurant so you can spend another $30 per... More

Petersons Cay is a small island just off the south coast of Grand Bahama. It is easily accessible by kayak boat or jet ski tour. It is a beautiful place with a very nice coral reef surrounding it for snorkeling.

My husband and two teen daughters just did this trip. It was great -- but not for someone who is out if shape or a poor swimmer. You first need to kayak a mile to get to Pesrsons cay, ( which is a tiny, tiny island) and then once you are there you snorkel for over an hour without having... More

We don't choose to be one of 20 sheep on pre-arranged tours, so we rented a car and drove to Barbary Beach. Yes if it looks abandoned you're in the right place. We had to off road a little in the VW rented car, but it's just sand!!! The Cay is about 1.5 kms out from the sand line. Go... More
