The gardens are the Bahamas best kept secret. Located just outside the Ocean Club the tiered gardens offer spectacular greenery and it's like you stepped back in time 1000 years. The French Cloister looks more Roman and sort of like a mini Colliseum. Past the Cloister walk down to the bay area for a great view and gazebo.

A short walk from Atlantas. We walked here from Nassau. Beautiful spots but strangely enough both places had private property signs up??? We disregarded the signs and walked around anyways.

I had a delightful half day visit in mid-January to Paradise Island which included walking to the Versailles Gardens and Cloisters, walking along the shores of Cabbage Beach, and then accessing the Atlantis site via this beach. We arrived by cruise ship in Nassau and then took the very accessible water ferry (turn right as you leave the cruise pier... More

Take a stroll through the cloister and enjoy a little quiet away from the hustle of the resorts. Its nicely laid out and landscaped and you can imagine the work that went into the original stone work back in France.

The gardens and cloister is part of the One and Only resort on Paradise Island, and is about a 15-20 minute walk from Atlantis. We walked to it one morning and enjoyed our time on the grounds. We then continued down the road where we could access the eastern end of cabbage beach. We got an ice cream at a... More

The cloisters was very small, 1 structure only. Garden was a little bigger but again, nothing there. Its a good place to visit if you're on Paradise Island. Both places are very well manicured.

Good for a quick visit and do some photography, plus it's free so that always helps. Wouldn't spend more than 30 min here.

An excerpt from Fodor's Review of Versailles Garden: Fountains and statues of luminaries and legends (such as Napoléon and Josephine, Franklin Delano Roosevelt, David Livingstone, Hercules, and Mephistopheles) adorn Versailles Gardens, the terraced lawn at the One & Only Ocean Club, once the private hideaway of Huntington Hartford. At the top of the gardens stand the Cloisters, the remains of... More

place is decent, nothing to go out of your way to see, we were staying down the road so on our last day we took a walk and stopped by. overall its a nicely manicured park, some old statues and old structure but overall nothing amazing....if you are staying at Atlantis, RIU, Comfort Suites stop by its only a few... This free public gardens is a fun short outing from most of the hotels on Paradise Island. It's a great place to shoot some photos and the history of the property is pretty interesting. The property is part of the now One & Only Ocean Club. It was once owned by American businesman Huntington Hartfold. He spent a fortune on... More
