From the cruise ship, I took the #10 jitney bus and walked through the Melia Resort to the beach. The sand is soft and white. The water was really BLUE, but there was a little seaweed around. (No big deal) A parasail boat takes you right from shore if you'd like. There are lots of activities if you want, or... More

I like that it's far away from Paradise Island so there aren't as many people, making it a very relaxing beach to chill on!

Beautiful water, white sand, quiet, plenty to do such as snorkel, kayak, jet ski, parasail. We will return!

We stayed at the WestwindsII. Family from Vancouver, B C, Finland and Canada. Condos were great. Staff was friendly. Great access to beach. Good snorkelling off of beach. Jitneys close at hand(busses you flag down) can travel anywhere you want or need to for just a few dollars.

The beach has clean waters and smooth sand, great sights to see. Lots of rich history as well. Great for families and couples.

The invasive baha mar construction smack dab in the middle of the cable beach area really 'mars' an otherwise possibly pretty strip of beach. *NOTE* due to the construction of the baha mar, the resort wyndham is dying a slow death and will be closed by years end according to senior official at the construction site. The Melia will be... More

I loved the water. Very clear but not enough room and the construction site brings a lot of trash to the beach. I did find a buch of shells.

Loved the long stretch of beach for walks and sunning. Disliked the locals walking the beach trying to sell stuff. They will call after you, hey pretty lady, you Bahama mama, how much you wanna pay, etc.

Very attractive beach. The sun and sand was why we were in Nassau escaping a very bleak Winter back home.

We stayed at the Melia Nassau Hotel which is right on Cable Beach. It's a nice beach, no complaints for what it was. The hotels all line up along this beach so expect a lot of people around. However, it was much better staying on this stretch of beach than on Paradise Island, which is overrated and very crowded (with... More
