We did not have any excursions booked, so we decided to explore Nassau on our own. After a 2 hours tour around the city, we decided to check out this beach. It was worth it. Get a day pass at Melia Hotel for 30 bucks and enjoy the day. If you don't want to get a pass, just next to... More

It is a public beach. There are many different accesses to it but you can get to this beach without staying in a resort. There are plenty of people to help you if you aren't staying in Atlantis. The locals that work there can "rent" you chairs and endless drinks for a fee. It's not too bad I think for... More

Cable beach was indeed a safe, clean and wonderful beach! It is divided into sections, broken up by private properties and resorts, but there is always a way to reach it! Don't let the resorts try and tell you that to use their beach you need to purchase a day pass. The beach is public property and you can access... More

Breezes Bahamas. The food was excellent. The staff was excellent. The nightly entertainment was excellent. We had a great room with a view of pool and the ocean. DONT LISTEN TO THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS. I would recommend anyone to go there. We had a Great Time.

We walked from the port to Junkanoo beach and were really disappointed, so we hoped in a cab over to try Cable Beach. Such a great choice. Our driver dropped us off at the Melia and said we could either go up to the front desk and pay for a day pass or turn right and go through the mall... More

Cable beach is ok, big waves. Not one of my favorites. Easy to get to just a short bus ride- only $1.25 one way ($1.00) for seniors. The beaches on the far west end of the island are better.

Very nice beach. While swimming I had a run in with 2 sting rays...and when I say run in I mean one ran into me. The are harmless. If coming from a cruise ship, take the number 10 bus and tell the driver you want off at Cable beach. It costs $1.25 to ride the bus. Much cheaper than a... More
