Cable Beach is off the beaten path. Traveling on a private tour, my family and I accessed a secluded section of cable beach. The sands were white and the water was beautiful. I suggest traveling to Cable Beach if you are able!

We went to Nassau from Miami on May 3 to May 6th.
Cable beach is a much better beach for swimming and relaxing then Paradise Island beaches. The water is calm and blue, but full of seaweed.
We were next to the Breezes resort property and the beach was clean and the weather was sunny.

Plenty umbrella shade on beach, water rinsing, helpful life guards. Hotel room was nice in size and very clean.Lobby was very roomy to meet and relax at the same time before departing.
Sea and sand were not crowded and great atmosphere. Beach beds readily available at a price but was well worth it.
If you want to swim or snorkel this is a great place to visit but there isn't much in terms of shopping or eating outside of the hotels.
It's a very nice beach and we walked down towards Goodman's Bay past the Sheraton, the Wyndham and the new Baha Mar which is under construction. Westwinds II has a private, roped off area for their guests, as do the Sheraton and the Wyndham. The public parts of the beach tend to be inhabited by the Bahamians, rather than tourists....
