This wonderful old colonial-era church has a beautiful interior and offers fascinating glimpses into the life and times of colonial Bahamas. The interior is immaculate, with a post and beam roof overhead and white-washed walls. Around the interior are many memorial plaques set into the walls and each tells a story of death and loss. Seaman who went to sea... More

Walk the extra 3 whole blocks and check out Christ Church Cathedral. It looks very unassuming on the outside with it's white washed facade, but inside it is full of beautiful woodworking, stained glass, and history. It's less than 5 minutes from the tourist strip of shops, but a world away.

We stopped in here during a walk through the downtown Nassau area before boarding our cruise ship for another destination. There was so much history in this little church. Just beautiful to walk through and experience.

We only stopped here because it was the meeting place for our food tour but I'm glad we had time to look around and inside. This is a beautiful little church inside and out that I really appreciated getting to see. It's just a block off of Bay Street so it isn't far and it's a lot quieter so it's... More

Loved walking by this church, peering through the windows, and grabbing some pics. Super old and really pretty. And only a short walk (10 minutes) from cruise ships.

We visited Christ Church Cathedral on 2/16/15. It is 5 min walking distance from the cruise ship. Cathedral is beautiful with amazing woodwork, stained glass, chandeliers and more. It was open and free, but we left an offering in the drop box. We also walked to Queens's Staircase and Fort Fincastle all 15 min walking distance from the cruise ship.... More

Very short walk from the cruise ship terminal. Nice church with beautiful stain glass work. Make sure you sign the book and leave a donation if you are able to.

The outside of this church is somewhat plain, with unadorned white limestone. However, inside there are beautiful stained glass windows, a lovely mahogany ceiling and iron chandeliers!

Lots of history with the church, a real treasure for Nassau. A musat see if you are downtown, easy walk from the jitney bus stop.
