In Alaska DI gave away charms and a bracelet it you visited their stores. We played their game and resisted their sales. When we got home and tried to put the charms on the tarnished bracelet only one charm had a clasp that would open. The clasp would not open far enough to get on the link of the bracelet.... More

Terrific variety of scams and fakes. The real stuff costs as much as anywhere else. At least pawn shops, in the states, have some accountability.

I purchased a diamond and a setting from there during my honeymoon. We did not plan on doing this until we went to a seminar on the cruise ship about diamonds. They direct you to DI. We were sold, so decided to go there. The staff was nice. They make you feel like you are getting a deal when you... More

I am always very skeptical about buying anything on vacation because if something happens it's not like you can hop in the car and return it. On our last cruise I really wanted a bizzantene bracelet so we shopped around. I must say that DI was VERY expensive and so we didn't buy anything from them. I also felt very... More

All the major cruise lines will send you to DI for jewellery purchases. You are led to believe that you are getting a wonderful price on quality product. It's a bit of a scam. I priced tanzanite earrings prior to leaving on our cruise. I purchased sterling silver earrings with triangle shaped tanzanite at home for $113 (incl. tax). DI... More

I myself experienced problems with DI which I am sad to report. Bracelet broke days 2 after purchase. These things can happen. Turns out the bracelet design was defective. I immediately called DI customer service. No help whatsoever no call backs, nothing. So I filed a complaint with BBB in NY. Only then did I get a response. I opened... More

Based on the 'highly recommended' words of Jordan, shopping consultant on NCL Sky, we went into the store looking for nothing in particular, but feel in love with a 3 stone diamond ring. Jordan was right there by our sides, 'negotiating' the best price. Lo and behold, what we came home with is NOT what we were told we were... More

Went in there with my credit card out and ready to BUY. Fell in love with a Philip Stein watch & REALLY wanted it. I had received a 15% off VIP discount ticket from The Norwegian Breakaway & was ready to use it when Darryn from Diamonds International said he would only give me 10% on that particular watch I... It's not so much that the staff were rude, but.just blank. The ladies were all dressed so nicely and the gentlemen wore Jersey style short sleeved shirts. Very tacky looking and sexist. The store was clean. They did not live up to the standard that Linda from the cruise ship stated.

We visited this store based on the recommendation of Carnival Cruise Line Pride's shopping director. He stated that he'd be in the stores at certain times while we shopped to make certain we received the best deals possible. Sure enough, he was there. However the Diamond's International salesman seemed to care less as they attempted to sell us a tiny... More
