Living in Florida makes a quick cruise to Nassau affordable and convenient. As many times as I've been there, about 5, I never tire of the weather, the people and the island. Have cruised Carnival in the past but did Royal Caribbean this trip which included Coco Cay. I'm not a big beach person, but sure did enjoy having the... More

Carolyn was a great tour guide. She was very knowledgeable about the area - everything from the history to the trees. If you are in Nassau for a few days I'd recommend the off-road bike tour, but if you are only in Nassau for a day or few hours, I'd suggest finding something else to do so you can go... More

The Junkanoo Festival on Boxing Day (Dec 26th) and New Years Day (Jan 1st) is one of the best ways to experience the true spirit of the Bahamas and the local culture. The parade that covers a 2-3mile loop thru downtown is a brilliant display of bright costumes and floats of feathers and paper mache. The Bahamians prepare for this... More

The best thing to do first when getting to Nassau after having settled in is to do a quick tour of the island that can be easily arranged for $10 per person with a local tour guide. This gives you a flavor for the area. Dining is not a problem, there are plenty of restaurants, the best being where the... More

This was our first trip to Nassau and we were very excited. We were one of the first off of the ship, the people there are very aggresive in trying to sell you things. Be prepared for people to walk right up and put things on you, sell you cigars, pot or drugs. We received a few offers. We also... More

I have travelled to Nassau many times over the years, and each time the beauty of the island always draws me back. Each visit has always been a good experience. I don't go to visit any particular site or event, but to enjoy the food, the people and of course Bay Street and the Beaches. My trip in October was... More
