Travelers should know this isn't a tour site. Its tucked away in a nice residential area with beautiful views of the north eastern harbour of the island. It is pretty hard to find if you don't ask the right people but it's a lovely little piece of history.

The tour was definitely not worth the money. We stopped a couple of sites, which were not much to look at or hear about. The blackbeard section was not much either, supposed to climb to top for beautiful view, which you could see the same from down below. Paid quite a bit of money for our own self guided tour... More

I have read some of the recent reviews and it is clear that some people have confused the Water Tower, with Blackbeard's Tower. There are no shops or bathrooms any where near Blackbeard's Tower, and it is not at the top of the Queen's Staircase. These things are near the Water Tower, which is actually a legitimate attraction, but Blackbeard's... More

I am not saying it a must see, but it is nice to visit, the cost is $2 and they have shoppes and bathrooms. The view is great from the tower

Well, good luck trying to find this place. Even many of the locals can't find it. I rented a house down the street from this place. It was over grown with weeds on a corner of the street with no signs no nothing. I could not believe I looked for this for a few hours just to find it. I... More

Takes about 2 hours to go through all. Guides were fun to listen too. Nice Restaurant on sight. Great views from the Tower

I had heard about Blackbeard's Tower and wanted to visit it. We decided to take a chance and see if we could find it. It's not possible to see the tower from the main road as it is covered by trees but one of the reviews below (Alex T) gave good directions in his post. The tower is in a... More

Whether or not the tower is really Blackbeard's is, of course, debatable. It is, however, an interesting ruin of a tower complete with an inscription inside and wooden staircase. If it was possible to climb to the top (the staircase is far from sturdy!) I'm sure it would offer up great views of the ocean. You can see the ocean... More

Our guide drove us right to it. What a sight! So glad we took the extra time to go out to see it. Nice area.

"Blackbeard's Tower" is a fake. I am not sure exactly when the deception started but I have a feeling that someone decided to add another attraction to the few that exist in Nassau, probably in the 1920's. Quite simply, the tower is an old mill - you can see the track for the guide wheel running around the top of... More
