We've been to many NPS Visitor Centers in the country, this was by far the least friendly and the most disappointing. We had just a few questions to start our hiking experience and the ranger seated at the info desk was miserable and unfriendly. Lots of really good information on St. John - both current and historical. There are 3 parking spots for the center designated in the parking lot so you can most likely find parking. It was a happy accident for us when we found it, but I'm glad we spent some time there. More

“Worst National Park Visitor Center”

I've been to dozens of NPS locations across the country so I can speak with some authority when I tell you that the beautiful Visitor Center at Virgin Islands National Park is populated with the least visitor-friendly rangers in the United States.
