Stop by here for park maps and park information. The park store is where you purchase tickets for the reef bay trail hike. Souvenirs are best found in the park store located in mongoose junction.

Stopping by the visitor's center (which is a very short walk from the Cruz Bay harbor) is well worth it. There's no admission charge and you can arm yourself with everything you'll need for a fabulous visit to the Virgin Islands National Park. There are also some small exhibits together with a gift store where you can pick up some... More

Great place to stop in before your trek begins. Clean restrooms and they have water for sale if you forgot. Very helpful folks there.

Very convenient and good place to drop by and secure maps, postcards (yep; I am old and still send them) and talk to the rangers and volunteers. They have great tips for the hikers as well as a brochure on snorkeling at the various beaches.

The national park visitor center had a small parking lot, and is not worth visiting if it is full. There is a nice map provided free of the island and has some interesting reading, fish identification and the like. We got a small pamphlet about local snorkeling too. Restroom available.

This is a great place to get maps for tricking, suggestions for snorkeling and all else. Diane was the ranger there when we went, who also took us on the underwater trail (see my review). She is passionate, dedicated to the park and has immense knowledge of the island having lived here for 40 years. Cannot recommend this place more.

The maps are great with a 3d terrain map of the island. The history is informative and there are free maps, and brochures. There is a limited gift shop. Bathroom facilites are adequate and you can wander the docks or take a trail to an elevated platform to observe Cruz Bay.

We were able to visit St. John through a Carnival Cruise Line excursion. It was actually the cheapest excursion we could take and we wanted to do something relaxing and enjoyable. We are both in our early 50's, but young at heart and sports. This is a trip we took without our kids. First, a wonderful boat ride from St.... More

Learn about the Natl Park and presentations showing the history, geography and interesting tidbits that can be surprising. Good books and other educational items for sale. Don't miss it.
