Maho seemed a little close to the road, Trunk bay is so busy, Cinnamon is such a great alternative. Parking is more than Trunk but still limited. Waves were so strong the day we visited, my son called it the "spin cycle", the wave pulled us under, tumbled us over, pulling off masks, goggles and anything not tied down, all... More

Its hard to find a bad beach on St John, but if I had to pick a favorite it would probably be Cinnamon Bay. Reasons: 1) longest stretch of clean beautiful sand, 2) typically calm water, 3) has an interesting cay to snorkel around, 4) has some shade cover, 5) has public amenities and rental equipment, 6) water is turquoise,... Took a day trip over to St. John from St. Thomas to check out the beaches, ended up at Cinnamon Bay. Trunk was super crowded and had heard Cinnamon had good snorkeling. That was true, snorkeling was amazing there, although it was pretty windy so not perfect. Great sea life, though, at the little island in the middle of the... More

This is a sandy beach. Nice for sun bathing and swimming. The waves can be ruff but one can still swim. There are showers and toilets. That is nice. Parking is always a problem on St John. This is no exception but they do have a parking area. The area has things to rent. Masks, snorkels, boats, many items for... More

I am hesitant to say how AMAZING this location truly is because it will soon be too busy to enjoy the complete perfection it provides.

Easy access, convenient facilities, and cooling Tradewinds make Cinnamon Bay a great beach! Plus... my wife and I snorkeled alongside a turtle in the coral reef (far right side of beach at point)! If there is one beach on Saint John that is a jack of all trades, Cinnamon Bay is it. There is something for all ages to enjoy... More

This beach is a little more windy than the other beaches which makes it wonderful when it is getting warm! You can rent paddle boards and kayaks as well as snorkel some too. This is a beautiful beach but allows you to be a little more active. It also has a little shop and a restaurant which I do not... More

My family had a wonderful time hiking about a mile or so down to the beach. Have to have proper foot ware though it is rocky. Wear bug spray too all though the woods. Great beach few amenities available there so bring with you what you need.

Cinnamon Bay is a great place to sit on the beach and have a great day. You can pick a spot from almost a 1/2 mile of pristine beach. Cinnamon offers food, a sundry shop and water sports. Cinnamon Bay is right next to Maho Bay, so you can watch the sail boats, catamarans and yachts come and go. Parking... More
