The water was amazing and there were virtually no other people there! it was very relaxing and great snorkeling. There were kayaks to rent and a snack bar nearby. My in-laws stayed in the camp ground there, and their place was basically a screened-in porch with electricity, but the weather was so nice and there were lots of shade trees... More

The beach is gorgeous and uncrowded. The restaurant, bathrooms and showers were very good. Snorkeling around the cay in the middle of the bay was nice. The cay is farther from the shore than the cay in Trunk Bay.

Cinnamon Bay was our favorite beach on St. John. There is plenty of space to spread out, and the campground offers beach rentals, a store, a restaurant, and shower and bathroom facilities. The water was beautiful and offers interesting snorkeling at the north end of the beach. The north end of the beach was also the most pleasant spot to... More

This is a very nice beach. It has a small museum that gives some anthropological information about earlier people of the island. Very interesting. The beach is a great place to chill or you can swim or snorkel. The restaurant there has some great blended drinks. Quite enjoyable after being in the sun for a while.

First, the gorgeous white sand beach! Absolutely pristine and not very crowded when we went. There's a rock formation off shore that we snorkeled to and saw a reef shark that apparently lives there (my friend's mom is a diver and knows the area). Small waves and large shallow area so it's great for kids! Now to the camping... My... More

Our first beach expedition on St. John took us to this absolutely beautiful beach with soft white sand and turquoise waters. The beach is within the boundaries of the Virgin Island National Park and there is no charge. The parking lot can be very crowed, but with a little patience we found a spot. Snorkels, paddleboards, boogie boards, kayaks, etc.... More

Our favorite beach! It was much quieter than Trunk Bay and had some amazing views. We took advice from our hotel staff and walked the rocky path to the left and had the beach to ourselves! The snorkeling was great, too.

White beach, clear water, small waves, palm trees. It is beautiful! We rented kayaks on this beach and paddled to neighboring Maho Bay (10 min to east), then snorkeled with the turtles. The bathrooms are basic but clean. A great place to camp, too!

I did try to go snorkeling at Cinnamon. The beach is very pretty but not quite as pretty as Trunk Bay. If your in St. John for more than a day it is worth making the trip.

Cinnamon Bay is a beach you don't want to miss if you're on St. John. Beautiful calm water, white sand, not too crowded, what else could you want? We rented some stand-up paddleboards and had a great time paddling around the beach. They also rent out kayaks, hobie cats, etc. Snorkeling was pretty good too. Parking was a challenge though....
