Maho Beach is very nice for families with crystal clear blue waters that are very calm. The sand is nice

Another of the gorgeous beaches St John has to offer ... however, this beach is fairly secluded and you may find yourself here alone! Simply put- a little piece of paradise.

The best beach with the most privacy. Our family was able to snorkle and feel like we were the only people on the island. Lots of shade trees for those moments when you want to get out of the sun.

Snorkeled the right side on a sunny morning and saw a variety of fish and coral. Enjoyable snorkel that would be great for beginners. The beach is narrow and not much shade in the afternoon, but it's calm and sandy.

Perhaps it was the time of year that we visited but the waters were calm and clear and the access was perhaps the easiest in St John. This beach is literally right next to the road . Sea turtles can be observed from shore grazing over the grass beds less than 100 feet from the beach.

Maho is probably our favorite of the St John Beaches. As with the others, great white sandy beaches, but the snorkeling is amazing for sea turtles. There are a number of large sea grass beds where they feed. The morning is best to get there and see them.

The best snorkeling I have ever seen. I have snorkeled a lot and have never seen such awesome coral and wildlife. Absolutely gorgeous.

From this easily-reached beach one can snorkel around the east rocks to Francis Bay. Lovely, languid marine life in the rocks. Just don't go to this beach to sunbathe, they have the most vicious insect-biting we experienced on the island. Get yourself down under the water right away and stay there til you're ready to dash to your jeep!

If you like to snorkel, this is the place. We saw turtles, conch, barracuda, stingrays, & urchins. Not too far off the beach. Beach wasn't crowded at all. Will go back for sure!!
