The ferry was on time, comfortable and a pleasure to ride. Our grandchildren loved sitting on the top deck in the open and inside when it rained. This is a short ride to St John from St Thomas, but a very enjoyable ride. Staff and fellow travelers were very nice and we enjoyed the conversations.

We took the ferry from Red Hook in St. Thomas to St. John. Quick, smooth trip. Very easy! Advice we were given is to go if possible when winds are low--that makes for the smoothest water.

It takes about 30-40 minutes to get to Red Hook from the airport, but it's only a 20 minute ride over the St. John. The departure times are 'island time'...about 10-15 minutes later than stated, but no it was no problem. The guys handled the cars quickly and easily.

Comfort, sun, short sail. no frials but it gets you from one point to the other in ten minutes. Runs hourly and is a great escape from the cruise ship crowd.

The new ferry is very clean and air conditioned. Quick smooth trip. Easy trip to and from St. John. Cruz Bay is a fun place to hang for a bit.

Pretty cheap considering how pricey everything else is on the island. Saved money by taking this instead of the Westin one. We rode the nee blue ferry which was really nice. Air condition underneath!! No complaints and thankful that it runs every hour.

One way over to St. John was on the dirty, rickety ferry which needs a good cleaning or even replacement. The ferry ride back was on the streamlined new faster ferry with lovely outside seating and televisions. The ferry runs every hour on the hour, more or less. Wait for the newer ferry in both directions.

I've been riding the Red Hook to St. John ferries for 35 years. The new boats are clean and spacious as well as a smoother ride. Baggage handling is more efficient.

They do go back and forth frequently so it made it very easy to rent a car on St. Thomas and took over to St. John. I would recommend renting a Jeep for St. John.

Nice new boat that only cost $15 and runs like clockwork. Crew was helpful and handled the baggage with care. Nice air conditioned seating below deck or a nice sunny open seating above deck that provide a great view and photo op as you are going between St. Thomas and St. John's.
