Great way to experience St John if you are staying in St Thomas. The beaches in St John are amazing and the ferry is very reasonable and it is a quick ride, just dont miss the last boat out or you will get to experience St John at night time whether you wanted to or not.

The ferry is a quick ride between Red Hook and Cruz Bay. The fee is reasonable. Porters are available in Red Hook to load luggage. The vessel is comfortable with indoor (air conditioned) and outdoor seating options. Taxis are waiting and easily available on the Cruz Bay side.

The ferry was a nice quick ride from St. Thomas to St. John. No complaints. If I had to say a dislike its that the seats could be a little more comfortable.

If I remember right the Ferry is like $8 per person and they charge you $4 for an suitcases that you can't fit in your lap. The ferry runs every hour in both directions from 7am - 12am everyday. Takes less than 15 min one way. Take a taxi from he airport all the way to Red Hook if your... More

I've been on this ride a few times and I always enjoy it, grab yourself a beverage at the Red Hook side (slots machines in the corner, I hit a Jack Pot coming back from getting our marriage licence) and look at the scenery. On a clear day you can see all kinds of stuff, big enough you won't get... More

Amazingly quick and on time 15 min from St John top St Thomas. Very reliable. On time and so nice to sit up top and get sun. Always runs every hour on the hour. Would definitely use this ferry again and recommend

BUT COSTLY. I had no clue it would cost $50 (round trip) to get to St. John. Yikes. Not to mention, if you get on the wrong ferry, your charged an additional $30, (pretty much the one way price on a ferry). The ride was nice but the dip on and off the ferry scrapped the bottom of the car.... More

Our son made his way to/from us on St John (from St Thomas) via this ferry. Unlike several years ago, it was totally on schedule, clean, efficient, and very reasonably priced. Will not hesitate to send others here!

Car ferries are packed to the gills. You have to back into the ferry, which is challenging in a rental car w/o a backup cam. That wouldn't be so bad if they didn't want you to park inches from other cars. If you are a driver who is a little overweight, you might not be able to get out of... More

We used the upper observation deck on our way to St. John and the views were very pretty. The ride was smooth and the staff were very friendly.
