It was a quick 20 min ride from St Thomas to St John and back. We thought it would be a hassle with 3 luggages but didn't sweat at all. The porters took care of them. The ride was really nice as it passes through different islands. Cheap and worth the trip!

The Boyson Ferry is disgusting and falling apart. The staff is rude, discourteous, and condecending. Many locals have mentioned how their cars are damaged from the crew and the USCG frequently cites them for how unsafe their vessel is. Personally, after more than one horrible experience, I go out of my way to make sure I dont put my life... More

We arrived at the Ferry as we have before and purchased out tickets. At time of boarding our friends realized they were not given a ticket for their bag. $4 per bag. $7 per person. So they spent $18 dollars for the two of them. They went back to the desk and the staff rudely told them that they must've... More

Red Hook is a good ferry system that will get you to St. John. They have a great schedule that basically has boats going out every hour until late night. Get there a bit early because sometimes it gets crowded. It's only $7 per person but make sure you also pay for your bags before you stand in line to... More

We took the ferry from Red Hook to Cruz bay St. John twice during the week of Aug. 23rd. to Aug. 30, 2014. The cost is $7.00 pp one way.Takes about 17 minutes. If you buy round trip, you must take the same ferry both ways, which means you could be waiting awhile for it to come around again. I... More

A must on your to-do list! Gotta take the ferry from Red Hook to St. John for the day. Not a 5 star boat ride but the experience was well worth it. The kids loved it! Thanks for the ride!

This was a great experience. But make sure you site outside the first boat going to St. John was really hard to breath inside because of the engine/diesels smell. But when we went outside really nice. Different boat going back to St. Thomas did not have the smell problem. I would do this over and over again. For sure the... More

Ferry ride is fine and the men that work on the ferries are cordial, however, the staff selling the tickets in the St. Thomas site are rude and not at all friendly to visitors.

The price ($7.00 per person) was great from St. Thomas to St. John's. The ride was really a lot of fun with great views and the sea spray cooled us off. Just a word of caution to sit closer to the front on top of the ferry if you don't want to get really wet.
