We've rented a villa on the Coral Bay side for several years, spending a couple of weeks and snorkeled most of the places we can reach by car. We've also gone on small group charters, both on scheduled routes or customized due to snorkeling conditions. But none as personal and perfect as our outing with Island Roots. We met John's... More

During our stay, we wanted to end our trip with a big bang and decided to book Island Roots with Captain John. First, I just want to say it was such a pleasure to work with him. He definitely made planning the day trip a breeze. John is very friendly, hospitable, and knowledgable and a very fun Captain to be... More

This year we went to St John, stayin at the Westin, in preparation for my daughters up coming wedding. He took us to spots that normally take us quite a few days on a sailboat to cover. I've rented boats out of Coral Bay a number of times and driven them myself. This trip we had my 6 month old grandson with us. I wanted a professional Captain. John Stewart was great. He's very professional and fun to be with. He took extra care with the baby and took us to our favorite spots. The Will T,... More

Travelled to St John with my two friends (daughters Nicole and Allison) in March 2011. We've always made a point of spending at least one day on the water in our previous visits to the island & decided to stick with tradition. What we quickly found out was that this trip was different. John was a pleasure to work with... More

I have lived in VI off and on for 20 years and returned for a month with family and chose Captain John for an excursion to celebrate my brother's birthday. John created a perfect day for us, everyone was extremely pleased and we look forward to another trip with him in the spring of 2012. There are many choices and... More

Because of this, everyone enjoys the day and activities. Thank you so much for this John and for your vast knowledge of how to get the best of what... More

While visiting St John, we luckily booked a boat trip with Captain John on "Island Roots" and headed to the BVI. What a fabulous adventure! We set off first for the Indian islands for some amazing snorkeling and after a while headed over to the Norman Caves. Totally awesome experience snorkeling in the caves which were rumored to have once... More
