Lots of great shops, one-of-a-kind type plus several eateries make this a fun destination if you've had enough beach for the day. Also nice in the evening.

Stores close together including some restaurants... Nice and clean, not much more to say. Lots of stairs and walkways so not very wheelchair friendly.

Robin at Caravan Gallery was SO helpful and accommodating. Be sure to stop in! Then have a "Lime in de Coconut" drink at the Sun Dog Cafe.

I was in St. John for the first time this January and went to explore the shops at Mongoose Junction with my husband. The Caravan Gallery had many gorgeous and unique pieces. I found a pendant that I really liked, but being super frugal, I didn't buy it right then. When we got home to SC, my husband asked me... More

After being inundated with the same batch of cookie-cutter stores in cruise ports, taking a ferry to St. John and discovering Mongoose Junction was the perfect antidote. It's a great place to poke around and check out the art gallery, along with plenty of fun and funky shops with jewelry, sculptures, gift items and such. We also got some great... More

If you want to shop then stay in St. Thomas. Mongoose Junction is generally full of over priced, ugly merchandise. We got out of here as soon as we could. Not worth spending more than 15 mins here if you are looking to get gifts for friends/family.

This is a wonderful area to shop and dine. It has a little bit of everything. Whether you want a sandwich, a brew or diamonds...they can all be found here.

We stayed on St. Thomas but really enjoyed shopping in Mongoose Junction on St. Thomas. Clean, safe, non-pushy clerks and a variety of shops. I left my cellphone in Big Planet and came back an hour later and the staff had picked it up and returned it to me. I thought it was gone forever--Thanks Big Planet Staff!

A great place to browse the various shops, relax with a beverage and enjoy a great meal whether lunch or dinner. Great specialty shops and a good assortment of places to eat. My husband and I enjoy eating at the Ocean Grill when we are shopping on vacation.
