We spent a great day sailing with Captain Phil and Tarn aboard the Wayward Sailor. We snorkeled on reefs offshore from St. John on one of the nearby cays. We saw a variety of tropical fish, eagle rays, and even a shy flounder hiding on one of the rocks of the reef. The crew took good care of us and... More

Captain Phil and Tarn are such patient professionals, it was easy to relax on my first snorkel, even though my heart was beating out of my chest! Having Captain Phil next to me in the water was very reassuring, as he pointed out the different fish and features of the sea life below. My husband enjoyed staying on board and... More

Captain Phil was very knowledgeable, and loved sharing his love of the ocean and its creatures. The boat was very basic, with minimal accommodations. Lunch was not fancy, but good. Take plenty of sunscreen. We thought we did, but still all got sunburned!

Six of us had a wonderful day sailing and snorkeling with Capt. Phil and Tarn. Lunch at Foxy's was good and Foxy was very entertaining! Phil and Tarn took excellent care of every detail! Very relaxing! Hope to go again on another trip soon!

Captain Phil and his mate are a fantastic pair. They are courteous and extremely accommodating. His sail boat can take a maximum of six passengers, so the trip is very small and intimate. Captain Phil is an active naturist and knows where the best snorkel spots are in the Virgin Islands. He also married us on our trip to the... More

I enjoyed meeting Capt Phil and Tarn. We took us to some cool spots to snorkel and we got to see a lot of sea life that we hadn't yet seen on our trip. The lunch was great and Tarn served us hand and foot. As experienced sailors, I felt like we were treated like children (note: we range in... More

My husband and I met Capt Phil and sailed on the Wayward Sailor 11 years ago. We came back last week with our teenage daughters for the full day snorkel and sail. We all had a fantastic time! We were on board with a nice couple from New York (he will take 6 passengers max). The small group makes it... More

Can't say enough good things about Capt. Phil. He was the officiant at our recent wedding on Trunk Bay and our captain for a sail over to Jost Van Dyke. The wedding was wonderful, as was the sail. The Wayward Sailor is the perfect size boat for 4-6 people. Phil and his first mate, Tarn, were a pleasure to work... More

We had a great time on the Wayward Sailor, and Captain Chalker was very friendly and knowledgable about the islands. The snorkeling area he took us too was great and close by beautiful coral reefs. We recommend taking a sailing tour with him if you want a more intimate and relaxing experience.
