We were on RCCL Jewel of the Seas making a St.Thomas port stop seeking a beach. We stayed in November 2003 and enjoyed the hotel for the first 3 nights, but then had 2 terrible nights. The source of our problem was the bar/restaurant called "Coco Joes" and our room's proximity to it. On both our 4th and 5th night the supposed tranquility of the smaller hotel (as opposed to the much larger Frenchman) was shattered.... more

We just returned from our very pleasant stay at the Morning Star. The rooms were spacious and we loved the sounds and the views of the water. We had been a tad concerened about the safety of staying right on the beach, but the rooms had louvered doors that could be locked while the sliding glass door was kept ajar.... more
