This beach has two faces: a quit spot to relax in a lounge chair and sip tropical drinks purchased from the beach bar; or, a sporty beach to snorkel, windsurf, sail and play volleyball. The choice is yours.

BEST family day. This is on a Marriott property (Frenchman's Reef) so it is meticulously maintained. Soft sand, snorkeling at both ends, clear water, chairs and umbrellas, resterooms. Three restaurants, two gift shops, a pool, water sports available (hobie, jet ski tours, kayak, paddle board...) GORGEOUS sunsets. Very wide and deep sand beach so plenty of room for humans and... This is the island of iguanas on a very green tree covered island. Taxis from near cruise ships $7 a person each way. Good clean sands and gentle waves. Sandbar cafe there very good, beer $6 a can and food available. You have lunch with iguanas walking round the table -no problem they are harmless. Beds and umbrella $25. Cable... More

Cute little beach outside of Marriott hotel, where we stayed. We prefer beaches to pools, and this beach was not crowded, and wasn't difficult to get beach chairs. This is not a private beach, apparently anyone can come. Some visitors were coming from the cruise ships to enjoy the beach. There are a few restaurants right at this beach. Would... More

The Morningstar hotel rooms are a hop, skip, and a jump from this beach. The beach is nice. Waves were a little stronger here than other beaches.

The beach is right on the Marriott resort - easy to get to and nice amenities including water toys. The resort had plenty of seating as well - with and without beach umbrellas. Some folks snorkelled but we did not check that out.

A bit rocky and waves with a bit of a drop off but a great and beach bar. Don't pass it up! We have stayed at the Marriott for years and this is a wonderful beach experience. Not secluded but worth checking out. Coco Joe's will take care of your beverage and food needs.

Incredible beach front. Grounds are beautiful. But the maintenance is poor. Mold on bathroom and ac vents. Plumbing, water pressure and hot water problems. Plumbing noises and pipe noises. Outside ac units coils were 1/2 to 3/4 rotten. We were moved 2 times on property on a 5 night stay. Beach is beautiful. Water great. Sand great. Access to food,... More

Went to the beach near the Marriott in October. Half of the beach was littered with seaweed. Otherwise, the sand is nice and soft and the waves were average sized. Water was a nice color but not clear as I would have liked. Needed water shoes in some areas. Beach was not crowded at all which was very relaxing. No... More

I spent an afternoon here and it is a nice beach but I have been to others on the island that are more serene and beautiful. This is located near the Marriott so if you want access to many amenities, this is a good choice. There is food available, water sports available, beach chairs and a bar right on the... More

We only had a little time on St. Thomas before our excursion. We arrived via Disney Cruise Line. We wanted to find a close beach to spend a little time on and Morning Star was the closest on the map. We took a $12 taxi ride there, and of course had to to pay the same to get back, plus... More
