This was the best beach I went too. The snorkling wasn't great, but the beach's upkeep was amazing and I didn't get bit by sand flies here.

Love that you can swing over to Coco Joe's or Sand Bar and grab drinks, then take them to sit on the beach. If you are staying at the Marriott there are free rentals to non-motorized things like snorkels, fins, boogie boards. Umbrellas and chairs are already set out which is a huge plus!

Pretty beach with two restaurants but extremely crowded. When the cruise ships come in, it gets very crowded. Not my cup of tea.

Four of us went to Morningstar Beach to check out the snorkeling conditions. Morningstar is part of Frenchmen's Reef and is located in front of the Marriott at Frenchmen's Reef. It is a small, but nice beach and has a surf that is great for boogie boards and Sailboarding. Unfortunately, because of the surf, the snorkeling was not as good... More

What a beautiful beach! Nice and sandy and long. Crashing waves but fun to be in and enjoy. Lots of free beach chairs but bring your own towels. There's a nice bar at one end near the parking lot and a great little restaurant closer to the Marriott Frenchman's Reef Hotel. Some shade which is a must since most of... More

Staying at the Frenchman's Reef, so this is "our" beach. Having been to Magens Bay and Coki Beach, I can't give this a thumbs up. Why? First off, bunches of stones about 20 feet out. Not the Marriott's problem. Just the way it is. Second - all beaches in St. Thomas are public, and the cruise population knows it. So... More

Morningstar Beach is one of our favorites and it has just about everything you could want in a beach...except for maybe solitude! It's part of the Marriott hotel complex on St. Thomas and there are two story cottages overlooking the water. We like to get there early and enjoy a lovely breakfast at the restaurant on the white sand beach... More

This is the beach our hotel was on so it was easiest for us to access. Since we were staying at the Marriott the loungers, umbrellas, snorkel equipment, towels and boogie boards were complimentary. The waves were just right for some fun boogie boarding. The water was pretty clear. Neat view of the giant cruise ships coming in in the... More

We came out here early morning and took our snorkel stuff. The waves were rough so visibility was not good. No fish that I saw. We brought our own stuff and sat on the beach and read for awhile. It was crowded. Got to see a cruise ship enter port nearby. I have been to better beaches on the island.
