I thought this was a very nice beach for swimming and snorkeling and a good beach for sunbathing. There is actually some of the best snorkeling on the island near the rocks on the hotel side of the beach. I saw a school of cuddlefish, a barracuda and many other fish there. It's also nice to have a restaurant right... more

We were on RCCL Jewel of the Seas making a St.Thomas port stop seeking a beach. Morningstar was recommended as close to the ship, reasonably priced, beautiful and uncrowded by our Jewel dining waiter. It was all this and more - short open taxi ride for about $7 and about that many minutes took us to the beach w/a promose... more

We stayed in November 2003 and enjoyed the hotel for the first 3 nights, but then had 2 terrible nights. The source of our problem was the bar/restaurant called "Coco Joes" and our room's proximity to it. On both our 4th and 5th night the supposed tranquility of the smaller hotel (as opposed to the much larger Frenchman) was shattered.... more

We just returned from our very pleasant stay at the Morning Star. The rooms were spacious and we loved the sounds and the views of the water. We had been a tad concerened about the safety of staying right on the beach, but the rooms had louvered doors that could be locked while the sliding glass door was kept ajar.... more
