This is likely the most elegant shopping on the island. You feel comfortable and worth dressing up for to stroll among the shops. Many of them are recognizeable mall shops but there are some interesting boutiques.

This was a very cool harbor marina area and had everything you need. We stayed maybe a mile away and ate at some of the restaurants and went in some of the shops by the water. We also went looking around some of the boats and looked at fish around the docks. Everything was clean and well maintained. This spot...

Owned by the same company that manages Yacht Haven Grande (Island Global Yachting, which is the pre-eminent marina management company in the world), this is a full service marina on the water with a number of very good restaurants, bars and shops.
It is in Red Hook (East End) where a number of water based tours operate.

This was a great little harbor where we caught the ferry to St. John. It is close to the resort and small enough to walk around the town. Also got a great snorkeling tour from here.

Easy to find and lots to offer. We went there specifically to board Magic Moments luxury yacht adventure but there are a lot of boats for hire there as well as an Irish pub and shops
We rented a house outside of Red Hook and drove into town almost every day. The American Yacht Harbor has a lot of restaurants and shops to provide the traveler who doesn't want to drive to Charlotte Amalie, with food and shopping attractions. The taxi ride to town is shady. Not worth it. Food wasn't spectacular. Remember to be wary of taxi drivers. Check their license plate and the hood of the car must say taxi.
If you're staying at Sapphire Beach this is the closest place to find food and souvenir stores. There aren't that many businesses here though. It's nothing like Havensight.
American Yacht Harbor is convenient for boaters and other visitors. There is a chandlery, a fishing store, gift shops, clothing and it also houses a number of good places to eat. Island Time pub is a winner - try the four seasons pizza!
