The southern coast of St.Thomas is endowed with the attractive and protected Mangrove Lagoon Wildlife Sanctuary & Marine Preserve of exceptional natural resources and is filled with scenic contrasts: manglar islands, rocky cliffs, shallow clear waters with sea grass beds, salt ponds and panoramic ridge lines. These natural areas provide a rich nursery habitat for offshore coral reef fish and invertebrates, and homes to nesting egrets, pelicans, herons and terns.

We went on the ecotour - with kayaking, hiking and snorkeling. I loved the location! Seeing and learning about the mangroves was great! I also thought the snorkeling was fun as our guide would occasionally swim down to the bottom to bring up animals to show us (sea cucumber and sea urchins). I didn't feel like the hike had much... We went out in our kayaks with our fabulous guide Shaun (with the beard) there were 5 of us in our family so it was just us and Shaun on our trip. He was really informative and great fun and made our trip very memorable, he even persuaded our daughter Carly to put her face into the water (not an... More

Very tranquil and relaxing. Shaq was our guide and this was our first kayak adventure with Eco-Tours in St Thomas. Simply exceptional, what a way to spend an afternoon. Can't get any better.

The Mangrove lagoon is an awesome St. Thomas experience that I recommend everyone see at least once while in St. Thomas. I recommend taking the Kayaking, snorkeling trip sponsored by Eco tours.

My husband and I wanted to try kayaking. We love snorkeling and hiking, so this was a bonus. Jia was our guide and Jason was the backup and they did a great job. What a wonderful first trip. We will kayak again.

We thought this sounded interesting in that we love to snorkel and always want to learn about the places we visit on the Caribbean. While looking prior to our visit to St. Thomas, we perused Google for things to do/snorkeling and came upon this activity. We called and talked to a very pleasant lady - Karen? - who told us... The mangrove location is beautiful and learning about the part that it plays within our eco system is cool. There is a lot of life in and just outside of its roots so it's worth a visit if you have a few hours to spare.

My fiancee is into snorkeling which I've never done. I went along and we were lead by the women guides. Nice and knowledgeable as I'm sure the guys are. Jodie helped me understand the whole snorkeling deal and I'm glad I gave it a try as there were some great things to be seen. The tour started with a kayak... More
