Last beach we went to, to snorkel and was the best by far. Beautiful, quiet, not over crowded, nice couples spot. Sea grape trees for shade, and if you are not staying there you can't get chairs. We brought our own stuff anyway but just fyi. BUT the bell of the ball was the snorkeling. Tons of ocean life. Schools... More

We found this to be the best snorkeling spot on St Thomas. We stayed on Sapphire Beach and during the summer, there is some sea weed problems but worth it.

We saw many fish and sea turtles. Great little spot. You'll want to enter near the sandy area and then swim over to the coral reef near the shoreline to see fish. The turtles tend to hang out in the deeper sandier areas. Highly recommend!

Not the easiest access or infrastructure but unbeatable snorkeling. We were so blessed to be staying on the beach itself (see my other review) so we were able to explore and enjoy.

Sapphire beach resort is closed for renovation so the beach was not crowded at all and also we came really early. There is still vendor to rend chair and water sport stuff and also a restroom. We brought our own snorkel. The water was very nice, saw fishes but no turtles, perhaps we didn't go far out enough. The best... More

This beach was perfect for snorkeling. Saw alot of coral and wildlife while snorkeling. The beach itself is extremely rocky and filled with old coral on some parts, and nice and sandy on others. Water was super clear here! Also, this beach wasn't really crowded which was so nice.

Love the snorkeling, although a bit difficult to get into the water over all the rocks. But once in the water, there is so much to see. Saw many turtles, eagle rays and mantas as well as many varieties of fish. We spent 11 days in a condo and loved watching meteorites and listening to the waves. The condo we... More

My husband and I spent the day at Sapphire Beach when we were visiting St. Thomas on the Carnival Valor. We wanted a beach that had good snorkeling and wouldn't be too busy and we certainly found it. After getting off the ship we took a taxi to Sapphire Beach. It was about 15-20 min. and $10 if I remember... More

I have been here several times. Great for snorkeling but you have to watch the rocks. Good snack bar and bathroom facilities. Water sport rentals and chairs with umbrellas. There is a great little beach barbecue with fish sandwiches up the beach.
