A favorite of windsurfers, the beach has fine white sand and beautiful views of St. John and offshore cays, and offers excellent snorkeling at the reef to the east, near Pettyklip Point.

Vendors on the beach nice and don't harrass you.

It was cloudy this time at Sapphire. It's really a cool snorkeling spot. They had beach service since a cruise ship was in and that was nice to have there.

We walked from downtown Red Hook to Sapphire Beach on afternoon - what an adventure! Take a taxi, the sidewalk does end and the blind corners/turns can be a bit much. Sapphire Beach is wonderful! Rather private! The water is the prettiest blue. The lush vegetation is stunning. The iguanas made me smile! One of the best beaches we visited... More

We had a really good view of the whole facility as we were the highest building on top the hill. At the beach there was a lot of seaweed that was washing up on the beach. The workers really couldn't keep up with keeping the beach clean of the seaweed. Snorkeled on the right side of beach closer to the... More

I go every year and stay in a condo, It isn't as popular as Magen's beach, but it has the best snorkeling, it isn't loaded with a ton of people.

Swim along the right coast and you'll see AMAZING corals. Do not touch them! Go slowly to see the amazing sea life hiding in the rocks--we saw an octopus that was masked by it's camouflaging abilities--amazing! Other highlights were multiple types of sting ray, a HUGE needle fish (5'), barracuda. If you swim farther out you will see huge schools... More

Chair rentals seem outrageous though. It would probably been 5 stars had I not been to the Baths in Virgin Gorda first.

The beach is beautiful, room F204 was clean but very tired. Lights and outlets didn't work, the safe couldn't be used and wasn't reset when we requested it. The patio door couldn't be opened because the latch fell off. We were told it would be fixed but wasn't during our stay. We asked to be compensated and will have to... More

This is a beautiful beach that has good snorkeling opportunities right off shore. The condo's that are located on the beach are a good deal as well if your looking for a place to stay. Don't bother stopping at the little grill between the condo's, the service is awful, unfriendly and the food isn't very good.

I'm happy to report that things are looking up at Sapphire Beach. The rest rooms are open again, you can once again rent beach toys and chairs, and there is beach service, should you want a drink, or something to eat. The beach is still beautiful - that never changed. There is some shade available, and (as of this writing)... More

This beach to me is a better deal that Magens Bay because you don't have to pay for the use of it and it's just beautiful blue water here and if you want to get some chair loungers and umbrellas then you can pay, but I found a towel on the ground works just fine for me. I would suggest... More
