2 Tank Dive - Cruise Ship Organized vs Private Operator

Short story: Had a great day – 2 tank dive, plenty to see (and with the exception of..ummm..let’s say some plumbing issues near the end of the last dive) and overall a perfect... read more

Dive to dive... anyone who complains about being underwater belongs elsewhere. Appreciate what the instructors do for you and think about it, morning and day trips. Do you want to miss the boat? ...you're on a cruise with thousands.... Do the math.

They take non certified divers on the same boat and to the same dive sites. I do not enjoy challenging dives with currents but I like something more than a training site. Right in front of my eyes as we met the tour operator at the cruise ship pier, the company was served with a very thick lawsuit by a... More

I recently cruised on board the Oasis of The Seas to get my scuba certification. The certification dives were guided by Rob and his crew. The crew was fantastic and made the experience terrific. The dives were exciting as we got to see a ship wreck and many different fish. Looking forward to seeing them again.

Short story: Had a great day – 2 tank dive, plenty to see (and with the exception of..ummm..let’s say some plumbing issues near the end of the last dive) and overall a perfect time. Would dive with them again anytime! Long story: Me: Advanced open water certified, 45+ dives logged so I would put myself in the intermediate category. Normally... More

Dive staff "A" dives "C+". Our dives with Underwater Safaris were good, but nothing to write home about. I love diving, so I might do them again if given the chance. The geology of one of the dives was very interesting, by Buck Island where the rocky shore drops into the ocean. This was probably the highlight of the excursion.... More

I took this tour while cruising on the Sunshine and was very pleased with all aspects of the excursion. We were picked up on the pier by a very friendly young lady who escorted us to the boat which was tied up at the end of the cruise pier. It was about a five minute walk from the ship. Very... More

Booked a scuba trip through the cruise ship (Celebrity) since they had it as one of their excursions. Wished I could give a higher rating as the crew were friendly and took care of us but the dive sites were not impressive at all and not too many fish. Maybe this is all St. Thomas has to offer... While the... More

Am a casual diver. Certified 12 years ago. I usually arrange my own dives directly. But signed up at last minute so I went through my cruise ship. Wished I could give a higher rating as the crew was delightful and eager to serve. But the two dives were quite boring with few fish compared to past dives. Not sure... More

Couldn't rate the company and the staff highly enough. Went out on a Discover Scuba Dive having never dove before but staff were really reassuring and patient along with wicked sense of humour! Greg was phenomenal as an instructor!

We did a wreck dive that had a great story behind it and there was a good amount of fish life. Just wish the discover scuba folks were on another boat. The equipment was in good shape and the staff did a good safety briefing. If there is one negative is that several boats pull up to the same sight... More
