Owner description: The Legendary Kon Tiki Sightseeing & Beach Cruise is a winner of the 2013 Trip Advisor Certificate of Excellence! Cruise gently through the beautiful, calm harbor of Charlotte Amalie while sipping complimentary fruit punch and listening to great calypso music, played by a native steel band. Keep cool on the open, shaded lower deck or sunbathe on the upper deck as you pass Bluebeard's Castle, Blackbeard's Castle, and the Governor's Mansion nestled in the mountainside that surrounds the capital. Passing behind Hassel and Water Islands in flat calm waters, the Kon Tiki pauses over a coral reef where she lowers her glass-bottomed viewers so you can view a variety of coral and tropical fish. The Kon Tiki then beaches herself at a wonderful white sand beach with sparkling turquoise clear waters for at least one hour for you to enjoy swimming, sunbathing and beach combing for shells. Enjoy a fun time on the way back with plenty of barefoot dancing, games, and a limbo contest with a prize for all the winners. A boutique and snack bar are available onboard.

I just returned from a Regal Princess cruise and did take the Kon Tiki excursion. My original tour was cancelled and was very disappointed but selected the Kon Tiki as an alternative. It turned out great. The excursion is very casual and low key. Tour of the harbor while picking up passengers from other ships. Then time at honeymoon bay,... More

This boat experience was the most fun I have had on any excursions. The crew was so caring and wanted everyone involved which they got. They know how to get the crowd going. I was there in August 2014 along with three other ladies and we all really enjoyed ourselves. The stop at the beach was very relaxing and you... More

My wife and I had a good time. To be honest, this was our third choice. Our 1st two tours were cancelled but this was fine. I recommend going to the top deck. There is no shade but it is much easier to move around and take pictures. The boat has a glass bottom. The boat stops at a reef... More

Went in late November off of Allure of the Seas. The excursion advertised three main points we were interested in. At least 1 hour of swim time, a white sand beach, and viewing of coral reef from glass bottom of boat. The beach is a brown sand beach and has an abandoned building in the middle of it. The restroom... More

Thank you for your feedback. Based on your comments it would appear we did not live up to your expectations. Due to the late arrival of the cruise ship and in order to run this tour, the tour left when the cruise ship arrived. The tour was conducted in the best way it could, given the delays and time constraints... More

First, the 3 1/2 hour trip cost ~$50.00. It does not include anything but the ride and some music. The bar is pay as you go and the prices are not cheap. I could have taken a boat tour for the same price, that included snorkeling and FREE Rum Punch! As a Party! It was really poor!

Thank you for your feedback. It’s unfortunate that you did not enjoy your experience. The “boat ride and music” in which you refer to, is actually a commentated cruise pointing out numerous historic sights, while enjoying a complimentary fruit punch and listening to LIVE steel band playing calypso tunes. In addition the Kon Tiki stops over a coral reef and... More

Start to finish the crew were very friendly and professional. We felt safe and not crammed into some tight boat like tourist cattle. Captain Mike was very attentive to his duties and kept us safe on a very tight beach. He took us over a reef and boat wreck, the crew dropped the unique viewing boxes and we had a... More

We had been to St. Thomas before and wanted to do something different, but were limited due to being there on a cruised. So we chose the Kon-Tiki and we were very pleased. The boat ride was very enjoyable and the guide was very knowledgeable and informative. The beach stop was extremely pleasant - Honeymoon Beach. The whole trip we... More

This boat looked like a rain forest barge. It was wide with a lot of seats and center drop down windows to see the bottom. The crew was excellent. We were taken to reef to view the sea life then stopped for an hour at honeymoon beach which was fantastic for snorkeling. On the way back to the ship we... More

We came off the Allure of the Seas on 11/26. We got on the Kon tiki finally at 3:17pm and headed to island. We were told we get a full hour at island. Not true because at 4:15 they called us. We didn't get on the Kon Tiki till 3:17 and had to charter to beach so realistically got 45... More

We had seen this Excursion many times and never booked it. What a mistake that was. We had a Great time. Great band, Great crew, Great beach. First a little guided tour. A stop over a reef and the glass viewing tubs are lowered into the water. Then it was off to Honeymoon Beach. Kon Tiki lands on the beach... More
