Description: The Legendary Kon Tiki Sightseeing & Beach Cruise is a winner of the 2013...
The Legendary Kon Tiki Sightseeing & Beach Cruise is a winner of the 2013 Trip Advisor Certificate of Excellence! Cruise gently through the beautiful, calm harbor of Charlotte Amalie while sipping complimentary fruit punch and listening to great calypso music, played by a native steel band. Keep cool on the open, shaded lower deck or sunbathe on the upper deck as you pass Bluebeard's Castle, Blackbeard's Castle, and the Governor's Mansion nestled in the mountainside that surrounds the capital. Passing behind Hassel and Water Islands in flat calm waters, the Kon Tiki pauses over a coral reef where she lowers her glass-bottomed viewers so you can view a variety of coral and tropical fish. The Kon Tiki then beaches herself at a wonderful white sand beach with sparkling turquoise clear waters for at least one hour for you to enjoy swimming, sunbathing and beach combing for shells. Enjoy a fun time on the way back with plenty of barefoot dancing, games, and a limbo contest with a prize for all the winners. A boutique and snack bar are available onboard.

This is a fun tour! They have a calypso band that plays onboard while we are cruising. The glass bottom boat is nice as well. They feed the fish along side the boat so that you can see the fish jump. They take us to this private area with a beach to relax and snorkel or just enjoy the beach.... More

We did this excursion in early May with my parents and my siblings. My children and my niece also came along. All the kids are between three and five years old. We had a great time! The historical info and tour provided along the way on the boat ride were very interesting, the beach was not crowded, the water was... More

We went on the Kon Tiki 25 or 30 years ago.,,,, Here is the difference,,,they picked us up where the ship was docked. Great cruise to the private island,,,when the boat landed we had a "plank" to the shore. We could walk on and off the boat. Great beach and island.... We could also go on and off the boat... More

We were greeted by the crew and thought this was going to be real good because they were enthusiastic. We went to the reef and they opened up the bottom for us to see the reef and the only fish visible were on the starboard side of the boat. The beach was OK - - please do not judge this... More

We took our first cruise last week and the only excursion we booked was this one. We didn't know what to expect, but what we got was a great time. The Kon Tiki was spacious, laid-back, open, airy, and the staff was courteous, knowledgeable, and fun. J.D., the host, gave a brief history of the areas we cruised by and... More

This was by far the most enjoyable excision we did all week. The staff is wonderful. We took this excision in April 2015 from the NCL GETAWAY , there were 6 of us, all in our 60's and we had a wonderful time. The staff made you laugh, the steel drum band was excellent. The beach was the best ,... More

The boat was late arriving as it picked up passengers from other cruise ships first. When we got onboard there was very few places left to sit. The glass bottom viewing areas were a joke as all they did was stop in the harbor and lower the viwing boxes--we saw rocks and sand--no fish and no coral. Then we went... More

The crew was friendly, fun and enthusiastic. The steel drum band kindly played "Happy Birthday" to me as it was my birthday. The beach was not as pristine as I would have expected and there were not enough lounge chairs available for the number of people on excursions to that beach.
