I toured the butterfly garden in January, 2015. It's just a stones throw from the cruise pier in St. Thomas. What a beautiful place! The person who tended the butterflies was so very knowledgeable and I learned so much that I had not know before. It was fascinating to see the butterflies land on her glasses, her nose and on... I cannot say enough good things about Rochelle, who is so passionate about educating people about butterflies that she went out of her way to give us a private tour and lecture of the garden. I'm embarrassed to have realized that I knew so little about these beautiful and fascinating little creatures that we sometimes take for granted. Having the... More

I had been to a temporary butterfly garden previously at the Minnesota Zoo (Minnesota, USA) and butterflies were everywhere. I was expecting to see many butterflies at this permanent garden, but ended up having to look closely to see many of them (not necessarily a bad thing, but not what I was expecting). It's a small garden with walking paths... More

I toured the Butterfly Garden while docked in St. Thomas. It was really pretty and very informative but felt it was a bit pricey.

The butterflies are pretty and the guide is very nice, but I think the entrance price was too high for what they offer...there were like 4 different species only (just a couple of each)...it's a whole day access, but I think they should have more butterflies...anyway the ones they did have were beautiful and I took amazing pictures.

We had a little time left before having to be back on our cruise ship on a recent trip to Charlotte Amalie so my mother and I went to this butterfly garden right across from where we were docked (it’s directly behind the inevitable Señor Frog’s). It was much more rewarding than the disappointing ice museum, with lots of beautiful... More

How to start? Well... from the beginning And we were wrong from the beginning when we choose this place. Being in St Thomas for third time and with just a few hours to do some shopping and some sightseeing made me wonder.. what to do? We saw the advertisement right across the shopping mall and Bingo!! We all love butterflies... More

The butterfly garden is a good place for a small visit during your stay on the island, whether you are in with a cruise ship or staying on island. The intern/staff members are friendly and helpful educators. Do ask questions of the docents - they know so much about their beautiful charges. The butterflies are amazing and it's easy to... More
